I dont want to write out 15 straight dead paragraphs, so I'll give some bold headers so you can skip past any sections u dont want to read.
We got the hookup: This girl I went to high school with is a headline burlesque dancer at Forty Deuce at Mandalay, so bc of her, me and my buddies lived like rockstars this past weekend. We were VIP at any club of our choice free tickets to shows, etc. Stayed at Rio, which is just okay.
Best Sportsbook: A lot of guys on here said how the Rio was one of the best sportsbooks, I thought it was just okay. Mandalay was sweet. Bellagio, etc. Blew Rio out of the water IMO. I honestly didnt spend too much time in the sportsbooks at all though. I bet on sports all of the time, so it didnt really do it for me.
My Gambling Budget: Started my trip off with a $500 budget per day to gamble with - which is 5* or 5 units for me. PLayed some blackjack at Rio and went up $1500 right out of the gate.
Tryst/Wynn: Kicked it off on Thursday Night at Tryst at the Wynn. Got there at midnight, huge line, skipped right past all of it without having any chicas with us bc of our friend that runs Vegas. Tryst is fuckin sweet. Love that waterfall setup. Saw Jermaine O'Neal there. Some dude said he spoke to him and he said he wants to play with Kobe this year.
Got trashed, left at 6am, Wynn was dead. Me and my buddies sat down at the black jack table bc we were doing well at blackjack. We were the only table going. I went up another $1,000. Up to about $2,500 on the first night, couldnt do anything wrong.
I was tipping $5 every hand as long as I was winning and always doubling down and splitting for the dealers as well.
Hand of the trip: Im buzzed, the table is red hot, we are beligerent, tipping very well, pit bosses are rooting for us etc. I put a $400 hand out and $25 for the dealer. I kept tellin her as long as she deals me cards, shes on my team. I get 77. Dealer shows a 6. I split for another $400. Get dealt a 4, I double down for $400, tell her to deal it face down. The other 7 gets dealt a 3 for 10. I double down for another $400, and tell her to deal it face down. All the doubles and splits were $25 tip doubles and splits for the dealers as well. One of my other buddies got blackjack. My other one double downed on an 8. She flips over the 5, for 11, we all take a collective sigh, then she deals the 5 for 16, and then the 10 to bust and we all went nuts. Ended up leaving up after the first night about $3700. I would end up giving most of that back to single moms at Rhino, $12 bottles of water, the massage girls at Rio that come around while youre playing table games, and of course, "Shin-Shin" at the Venetian. Old asian women are deadly at blackjack. I avoid them now.
Free Room at the Wynn: At that point, this dude in a suit walks over to me, and gives me the Papageorgio treatment. Tells me thanks for tipping the dealers, he likes the way we play, do we have a place to stay for the night. We said yes we have comped rooms at the Rio (which we did). He gives me his business card that says "Senior Executive Host" and says if we ever want to stay at the Wynn to give him a call and he would be happy to help. So that was sweet. For the strangest, drunkest of reasons, we didnt take a free room at the Wynn that night. "Nah we're at the Rio, we're okay." LMAO. The next day we were like, "you know how drunk we were? we got offered a free room at the Wynn and we turned it down."
By the way, if there is a heaven, I'm convinced it's the Spearmint Rhino. We ran that place with our winnings.
Worst Decision of the trip. EVER: We get in a taxi around 7am, and ask this little old asian driver if he could eat breakfast anywhere in Vegas, and money was no object, where would he go. He says: "Palace Station buffet." We''ve never heard of it, and for good reason. We say "let's do it." LMAO. Thats all I gotta say. What an asshole. There were some mutants in there. Chicks with peg legs. Shit stained shirts. Old dude with 1 eye. Old ass buffet ....I was pissed - but we got a good laugh out of it.
Mandalay: Went to Manadaly on Friday at Forty Deuce to watch our friend perform. We got in free and drank free there, but it was tight (small) I didnt like it. Its a little lounge, they dance burlesque for 20 minutes and thats it. She does this handstand split, and humps the wall. Yikes. Afterwards, she got dressed and took us out. We went up to miX at Mandalay for a little bit, nice view. Got a few free drinks, and then she took us to the parking garage, got in her 2008 BMW (these vegas girls are making bank), and she dropped us off at Palms because she had to wake up early the next day and announce something at the Caesar's.
Palms - she only has a hookup at Ghostbar there, so thats where we went. Got in free again. Nice view again. Good little bar, but nothing special aside from the view. Went down to the tables after and broke even and took it to the Rhino.
Fantasy at Luxor: Went to some topless show called "Fantasy" on Saturday night at Luxor. We got comped tickets that were handed to us by one of the dancers in the show "Dar" - (shes the blond girl on the promo poster and has the biggest cans in the show). Never met her before but communicated on a text basis while in Vegas regarding tickets. Met her in front before the show to get the tix and after the show to say thank you, but our friend told us she had a boyfriend so no moves were pulled. Fantasy was a topless sexual kinda show. We had front row, center seats, cool show to go to for an hour or so to kill some time, but I would had been pissed if I spent the $65 that the tickets said they cost on the ticket.
Went out after to Tao on Saturday. Just okay.
Never got around to the Hard Rock Pool, the N9ne appetizer thing, etc. Didnt play any poker bc I play enough poker at the Hard Rock.
