Been here since Thursday. Staying at Venetian. Check-in line was constantly busy. Lots of activity everywhere. Still able to find a table when looking around. Walked over to Caesars. The strip sucks. Then again it's probably cause I'm older and don't feel like dealing w crowds. They say ride share on the strip is a long wait. Taxis are a better option.

Anyways, it's a pretty good time out here overall. Last night, the casino floor was super busy. Expect the same tonight.

Just got back. Lost most of my NCAA bets but blackjack and roulette more than made up for it.
I gotta be honest, I'd bet a huge chunk of cliente was stimulus driven. As I mentioned we stayed at the Venetian. My wife and I kept asking ourselves, "Where'd all these ghetto people come from?

Oh well. The trip was a success.

The poor and uneducated find ways to blow through that Stimmy instead of being responsible and put it forth to real needs.

Last time I checked they still had plexiglass between players at the tables. Not a fan of that. Reminded me of the cone of silence from Get Smart

I think when the shows start back up it will draw a better upscale crowd

At the blackjack tables it feels a bit weird at first but after a few hands you don't really recognize its there. They didn't have them up for roulette or craps. A sprinkle of shows have begun to open up at limited capacity. I think the big game changer will be the conventions and business travel opens up again. Talked to a few hosts and promotions people and they're all foaming at the mouth for first convention to open up this June. That's when their true cash cows come home. That will also help solve the abundance of low brow clientele.

My fear is another pandemic of fear when other strains come out.

Complete over reaction to this shit.

I still see another shutdown happening.

I think the days of shutdowns (at least Vegas) are behind us for good.

I don't see another shutdown happening in our lives.

Due to the overreaction to this mild pandemic on a global stage, I think the next time we get an actually real dangerous virus (to all age groups), most countries will probably under react at the outset. And the actual dangerous virus will wipe out exponentially more people than this current weak one.

I was at the Wynn this weekend and it was also packed. Tough to find an open BJ table. $50 were the lowest limits and all those tables were packed. Sports book was packed with long lines at times.

Clientele was more along the lines of pre-pandemic for the most part. So things are starting to get back to normal.

Correct...riffraff only visit there and then go back to the Flamingo. 17mile back-up of cars headed back to Cal after last weekend. Visitors still largely watchers and thugs and not as many spenders although those stimmys are being used up on the Big Wheel and Tanquerray.
