NOTRE DAME Pk

Notre Dame comes into this game looking for another win to build thier tournament resume. This is pretty much a must-win for them. Seton Hall on the other hand is in, unless they fold up shop the rest of the season. Chris Thomas vs Andre Barrett could be a fun matchup to watch. Hopefully, the Irish won't have a big letdown after the Uconn win, but they need this game just as much as they needed that game. Chris Quinn keeps improving with each game and hopefully he can keep taking some scoring pressure off Chris Thomas.

PENN STATE +10.5

This game should be very low scoring, thier first matchup was in the low 60s and Im thinking that was an overtime game, I'm too lazy right now to look it up though. This game should be in the 50s or low 60s so I don't think Northwestern will put up enough points to cover this number.

INDIANA +7

I talked in my writeup last time how IU is a better team on the road because they play so much looser and it proved true once again. Bracey was once again lights out on the road. Purdue is struggling bigtime right now and from what I have heard starting Center Ivan Kartelo will be out this game, which is huge for IU and thier sad interior defense. This game will probably be in the 50s, or heck in the 40s, in the 60s at most, so this game should stay pretty tight and 7 pts is a lot for the low scoring Boilermakers to cover.

Not to much info in these writeups, but I'm not at home this weekend, so working limited. Later

I totally agree on the ND and SHU game. I went to the SHU/Pitt game on Monday and as bad as Pitt played SHU let them in it. On the way home I listened to SHU radio and they said how great a team this is and how easy it was going to be to go into ND and win. I think NOT! I have been waiting for this game since Monday. John Allen hasn't shown up in the last 2 or 3 games and they are going to need him. Francis will play better then Whitney and thomas and barret are a wash at best...( I give a slight edge to thomas). If Quinn has a decent game Irish win going away.

Getting early sure didn't help today, as all 3 spreads went against me. I cant believe Seton Hall is now -2 at Notre Dame.

well, I'm an idiot, but it might just pay off. I did not even realize Francis was out for Notre Dame, no wonder SH was favored by 2. ha. oh well ND up 7 with 2 to go.

Penn St vs Northwestern on ESPN?? WTF?? They couldnt find a better game than this. Jan Jagla not starting, interesting, he did play horrid against IU, but they will need him today. Over 2 minutes in, and no score. ha

Wow, Penn State really sucked up the start of the 2nd half, a 28-2 run or something. Pinnacle opened Nwestern -8 for the 2nd half, I was looking for a middle, but was expecting NW -5 for the 2nd half, so I wasnt able to play it.

WAKE FOREST -3.5

Playing this one larger than UNC, and this will actually be my largest bet of the weekend. I think Cincy is g****ly overrated and they are year in and year out. They always play cupcake city schedules in the preseason and it ends up doing them no good by the time March rolls around, because they never seem to be able to get to the Sweet 16 even though they are a 1 or 2 seed. I feel Wake is the way better team here and giving up 3.5 points is not very much in this case.

UNC -7

Maryland did get a road win last road game I believe but they havent been to much on the road, they got drilled by NCState and lost to Wake by 8. UNC by 12-15 in this one.

10 fouls in 9 mins on IU. terrible. All on the big men and Patrick Ewing who was supposed to play hasnt came off the bench yet. I'd say Purdue might be up 20 at the half.

bad saturday, luckily the penn st play was half as big as the other 2. the 10 fouls early on IU killed them, they cant afford foul trouble inside and to have thier 2 top big men both in foul trouble by then kills them. On a sad note 6th man Sean Kline is probably out for the season, he got stretcherd off, he tore something for sure. IU's inside game gets even worse

8-5 Go Wake

he was left behind the penn st game. He was back this saturday though it looked like Davis wanted to sit him on the bench this game too. Because Sean Kline got his 3rd foul at the 12 minute mark(after he had subbed for Leach who got his 2nd foul at the 17 min mark). Kline then stayed in for 2 more minutes(with 3 fouls) then came in Mike Roberts who doesnt hardly play. (Ewing was ahead of him), but then Mike played a little while and then Davis brought Ewing in finally. Ewing managed to foul out in 9 mins. Classic

UNC blows a 22 point lead, real nice, now up 8 with 3 to go. Watching this game and watching some other UNC games, I dont think this teams gets past the first 2 games in the NCAAs this year, and maybe not the first. They have all this talent and they play no defense. The tourney game will be completely different from what they are used to playing, I'm real interested to see how the ACC does this year in the NCAAs. Bilas and Vitale talk about how great they are all the time, I'd love for them to have a bad NCAA, Vitale would play it off somehow.
