For me the important news is the reduced juice especially 2 team 6 point teasers. VERY few books are offering even money AND ties win, or even money and ties and a loss=push 2 team 6 pointers. Personally not a bonus shopper so that is gravy.

I also try to make use of hooks whenever possible, which eliminates any pushes or ties. Favorite take down numbers are -8.5, -7.5 and to a lessor extent -6.5. Natrually I will look to bring any +4.5 point dog up to +10.5.

Blue, I will call them whatever the hell I want. It's a joke! Don't claim to have a new, top of the line teaser system without doing your research. If they did their research, they would see what they're offering is middle of the pack at best compared to other offshores. Hell, I understand they advertise here but if you're going to make a claim, you need better make sure you back it up.

By the way Blue show me where I said the book is a joke, that rule and their claim to be the go to spot for teasers is a joke.

This offer on two teamer teasers combined with 20% bonus is not middle of the road in my opinion, but very good.

They might not have the best teaser policy (without bonus), but I would say it is in the top 10% of books on this site and even better when compared to all books offshore. It is certainly an improvement and no joke.

Its a good offer and you will get plenty of action because of it but you need to cut back a little on the sales pitch.

ABC and Millenium are just two you would not like to go head to head with.

Gentlemen,

When creating our new odds, we used several strong books as a reference.

I'll be glad to share w/ you the books we used as a comparison. They were:
Bodog
Millenium
VIP
Sportsbetting.com
Pinnacle
Wsex
WWTS
BoS
Olympic
Cris
Rio
SIA
Sportsbook.com
Intertops

Out of all these books we compared w/, our odds were top (our tied for top) on everything we offer, except:

6 POINT TEASERS
5-teamer -- Oly & Itops are at +500. We're +450.
Also, I didn't find any other books offer 12 to 15-teamers except Mill & Oly. Oly & us are now the same & we both beat Mill.

6 1/2 POINT TEASER
I did not find any book that we compared w/ beating our odds on 2 to 15 teamers.

7 POINT TEASER
2-teamer -- Mill beat us on this w/ -115. We offer -120 which is still pretty damn good. The only other book that offered -120 in our comparison was WSEX.

9 POINT TEASERS
No other books in our comparison offered 9-point teasers. We offer them from 3 to 15 teams.

9 1/2 POINT TEASERS
No other books in our comparison offered 9-point teasers. We offer them from 3 to 15 teams.

10 POINT TEASERS
3 teamer -- (-110)BoDog & Mill offer same odds. Didn't find any better odds in our comparison.
4 teamer-- (+110) Rio was only book we found that matched our odds.
5 teamer-- Rio was the only other book we found offering us & they offered slightly higher odds than us. (+140)
6 teamer-- Rio was the only other book we found offering us & they offered slightly higher odds than us. (+170)
7 to 15 teamers -- No one else in our comparison offered these.

13 POINT TEASERS
4 teamer -- 3 books in our comparison offered -120 (BoDog, Mill, SportsBetting). All--to the best of my knowledge--grade ties as losses. We grade them as "No action".
5 to 15 teamers -- No other book in our comparison is offering them.

Now, I do apologize if you feel my statement about having "the best" teaser odds online was out of line, but take a look at the comparison.

I honestly don't think any of the above-mentioned books compare w/ our new teaser odds when you compare the a) odds, and b) variety of teaser offered.

Since someone mentioned 5dimes in the thread, I took a look at their odds. I'll be honest in saying they look pretty good. That being said, they offer some teasers we don't, & we offer some teasers they don't.

I did my research before I posted. There is NO WAY this offering is middle of the pack any way you look at it. I stand by my comments that I made earlier.

Kind regards,

Mike

Yeah you happen to leave out Carib, ABC and 5 dimes above although I see you did give 5 dimes it's just due later in the post. Any reason for not allowing totals on 13 point football teasers and basketball teaser totals? Most of the books above do allow them.

go2guy,

We just crunched the numbers & didn't think those were wise to offer. Actually, when we did the math, we thought odds on a 4-team 13 pointer should be around -150. Not offering the totals is how we justify lowering the extra 20 cents.

If you take a look at Oly, their 4-team 12 pointer is -150.

Wow, what factors do you or any other book take into account when offering teasers like that. I can't imagine how books like 5 dimes and Carib and many others see it as profitable offering totals and -120 to -130 on 4 team 13 point teasers if your numbers tell you that??? By the way, the -150 by Olympic is probably a nice way to tell you, we don't like that kind of teaser action but we'll offer it anyway.

I'd say some books just view them as loss leaders. Others just copy whatever the next guy has.

5dimes I'm sure does the math & takes calculated risks. Crouton's got big cajones & offers many things other people wouldn't. I'd say he's a gambler at heart though. Can't speak much about Carib though... don't know anybody over there.

If you want a good gauge, looks Pinny's teaser odds. They get beat by a lot of other books. Why wouldn't they have the best odds if they offering reduced juice on straight wagers? Well, the math just doesn't work out.

I think Spiro just knows what the bet is worth. He books it where he knows he can make a little with it.

Cheers,

That is great. Have to give VWager some serious teaser action now. Maybe I will be able to get Fishhead into a 2 team 6 point teaser contest (NFL only) this year.
