I am with Virginia Tech here. USC does not open well. VTech does. VTech has the special teams and takeaway advantage here. The D is built on speed, and is focused on linebacker and secondary play. USC can win, but it will be running the ball. USC is essentially the road team here. VTech has solid qBack as well. 1 special teams score or turnover score and VTech will cover. 2 and they may win.

If its 18 now , why jump on it at 20?? How many games do you see end in 18,19,20 point wins?? You should wait till if it hits 21. Anything UNDER 21 especially 18-20 isn;t really different IMO!!

you don't think there is a difference between 18 and 20 points in a football game?

i do.

I will add an extensive write up about this game soon since Va Tech is a team I follow very closely...

Va Tech bears no resemblance to the great teams they have had during the Michael Vic era, and they are clearly in the rebuilding mode...

They are always well coached but their talent pool has dropped sharply...

The number looks "high" on surface, but when I do my in depth analysis of matchups, I may surprise you with who I take...

Blue,
All I'm saying is that if a line is 17 & 1/2, up to 20 & 1/2, I don't touch the points unless its 21. Don't know the figure but I bet that many games don't land on 18,19,or 20. What I'm saying if you like a team at 20, 17 & 1/2 isn't much a difference!

Agree w/AJ Suited here, in that the 2 programs are going in totally different directions...USC up and VaT down...USC strong recruiting class and VaT weak...USC alot of depth and VAT none..loss of Vick will hurt on "O" side of ball ..only real advantage I see for VaT is special teams and even that is not a big one...USC strong coaching with the "gay" Pete C...Look for USC to try and run score up since that now counts in the BCS voting...take USC and give the points to a shadow of its past VaT...

Is this a required play? Because it is the first game? I am sure I will find a looser number and more value and better betting opportunity elsewhere. Pass. These games are traps. Show me a single game schd and I will show you a tight line. Show me a 50 game schd, and I will find you a bunch of loose ones. Best Wishes either way...OF

Pinny just moved from 17.5 -101 to -105.

From the sounds of what I am hearing here in this thread, laying this now would not be a bad move at all if you like USC.

FWIW- I checked the weather forecast for the game............only 25% chance of light showers expected, but more importantly perhaps...................0-5 mph wind.

Huge advantage USC!

No big difference between 17.5 and 20?

Gulp. No doubt Jim Feist is having a field day with that material.

With MLB, NFL ex, olympic hoops, horses and even Emmys, I have little free time to cap games or get info on positions I have no interest in. Lot of question marks, info I would think has value, does USC get Williams back. A sure pass until you know that. He is a difference maker. Best Wishes...OF
