The official that had his fist in the air did the proper mechanic at the time. He held his fist, didnt give a signal and passed the call onto the official that was all out selling the call. The lead official in this case took it upon his shoulders and made the call. The "C" official did nothing to make it look like he was going to call the block. In fact he came in right away as if he were going to call a charge as well. Being a official at the high school level I can tell you that the most difficult call to make in a ingame situation is the block/charge. In this case the defender was moving but in some situations if you are moving it is not an automatic blocking foul. Its like I always have said....damned if you do and damned if you dont. What Floyd did was totally uncalled for. The block/charge didnt determine the outcome of the spread, it was Floyds antics that caused USC backers. Tough luck on this one and better luck next time.
