"Mayors are pleading with their Republican governors to follow the science and shut down states over the coronavirus

...
He called Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick's comments that older Americans would gladly sacrifice their lives to reopen the economy more quickly "a false choice."

...Mayors across the US are on the front lines of fighting the novel coronavirus, but several Republican governors are being accused of slow-walking or even undermining local officials' efforts.

By Monday, at least 29 states had put statewide "stay at home" orders in place, meaning more than two-thirds of US residents are ordered to stay home except for essential activities, including medical appointments and grocery shopping. But major states like Texas and Florida have so far refused.

You are Canadian and live in Canada. We'll take care of our local politics. Don't you worry yourself with this.

I’m not bud. I don’t think it’s cool for a guy sitting in Canada all day to bash our President or government processes. If you think that’s appropriate, we disagree.

I think it's a pandemic and global health care crisis not a political process. Why wouldn't any country be concerned with potential mishandling of this at the cost of lives to people world wide. Especially direct neighbors

Am I not allowed to critique how China or any other country bungled or is bungling this because I don't live there? Is that not cool?

A lot of my business deals with UK

You can bet I'm watching closely.

Prob no one here looking at pros and cons of how China,Japan, South Korea handle this right?

But why can't people not living here provide their insight/opinion?

Its similar to when football players contend that people who don't play football cant comment on football because they've never played.

The economy can't even really turn on again anyway until a good portion of the world is out of this mess. Not like your local gym opens up and it is Goldilocks all of a sudden.

It’s just my opinion. I don’t comment on politics of countries I’m not from or live in. What do I know about Canada?

Solid point...

Wish others here(enflameo/red eye) would understand our economy(like it or not) is dependent on how other countries are doing not just the US...

Simply "getting back to work" in the US will not magically solve the problem.
