Yeah, Peng wasn't able to break Pennetta the whole match. Never going to win if you can't break your opponent at all. I thought for sure Peng had the match after winning the tight tiebreaker, but after she got broken she just lost confidence and pretty much gave up.

Record YTD: 133-89, 60% (+32.09 units)

PHM pending. Adding a few more plays.

Gael Monfils to win 3-0- NO (-185) 2 units

Rafael Nadal to win 3-0- YES (-578) 2 units

Simon -6 games (-105)

Two late plays pending. Murray and Wozniacki are both in round three now, but both have fairly difficult opponents. Andy is up against Melzer, who is someone he definitely should beat, but Jurgen has played very well in this tournament so far. From early odds Caroline is a -145 favorite in her match against Azarenka. Will think about possibly hedging, but really if I had no futures on the line I'd usually be placing a bet on Caroline at those odds. We'll see what happens.

Ivanovic will likely get out of this match. Still, she is not in good form and I can't see her competing with the top players. Every match is difficult with her. She makes nothing easy. Took a little in-game play just a second ago.

RJ,
Good points there. I was on Peng and lost as well. The tricky line thing that OTK discussed is one to look for, like he said don't play it blindly but if it looks to good to be true it usually is.

I tell you rascals something about the Coin win..It was not about Ivanovic playing shitty..It was about Coin playing great...

Normally when a nobody has the win of their career they are a good fade on their next match..Not so sure here..if this girl continues this type of play she can win the hole damn thing..

Man that bracket is wide open now..wohooohooo!!!..I`m a happy MFer..Had some coin on Coin:aktion033

I think Coin definitely did play well, but Ana played far from her best match. The girl has all the talent in the world, but just beats herself in almost every match she plays. She hits easy shots into the net all game long. She makes every match a battle, unlike the Williams sisters who always destroy weaker opponents, and it caught up with her like it did in Wimbledon when she lost to Jie Zheng. I think Coin loses her next match, but no way will I fade her because Mauresmo will probably be a huge fade. There will be value on Coin

It really doesn't help the futures bet too much because I don't think they would have faced each other until the finals and I just couldn't see Ivanovic in the finals when she has the Williams sisters, and Safina on her half of the draw, all of which would have been favorites over her IMO. My biggest worry is Jelena Jankovic right now, but Wozniacki's next match won't be easy either.

Congrats on your win with Coin man, that's a big hit. She was at least +800. I should have traded off after the first set when I could have got Coin at like +400 in-play and guaranteed profit, but I trusted Ana (mistake). At least the Korolev play came in right after though which made up for it. Just need Nadal to take care of business tonight.

Yeah..I see what you mean about the bracket..the Coin play was just a lucky break..I could not have identified her in a line up of two people..just thought Ivanovic would lose early as she looked like poop her first match..I still got a problem for opening my trap..I need Monfils or it will take away the Coin win..It is close now and Monfil`s stamina is a ? mark..May have to sweat out a fifth set..Dammit!

Nadal made me sweat a little in the last set down 3-0, but eventually takes it to win in straight sets. Not a great day, but am up a small amount thanks to both 2 unit plays hitting.

Record YTD: 136-91, 60% (+34.67 units)

Both futures still pending with 5 rounds still remaining. Will look over tomorrow's card in a bit.

OTK - Just wanted to say good to have you here. Like going back and forth with you when the opportunity presents itself, and you're not a blowhard like some others. You seem knowledgeable and seem to value discussion about plays rather than getting defensive when people have questions.

BOL tomorrow

Same to you man. Answering each others questions is one of the main reasons we are all here. One of the main reasons I love the tennis and soccer forums the most is because they don't have all the blowhards with a GOY or lock of the century everyday. The lesser talked about sports are generally just filled with pretty knowledgeable cappers that just post their plays and share their knowledge. It's nice to see around here, and glad you've started posting here more. Always nice to have more tennis minds. :103631605

GL with those picks..I am going along for the full ride with Woz as I took her when you posted it from day #1..Its easy for me to say because he is a very big dog, but I think Reynolds is done tomorrow..

I am taking Zheng over the over rated Jankovic..she can take her long face and her Jabba the hut mother ( With the ten empty seats around her because she is sooo special ) back to Serbia..Since it is early..Hopefully she can catch the same plane as Ivanovic..( Yeah I know she does not live there now, you know what I mean)...

I like Warburg over Almagro..Tsonga to send the Spaniard Moya home...But

My upset pick of the day...Stick a feather in her hat and call her Makarova..Time for N Li to go back to Beijing..where she spent the good part of the year practicing on the Olympic courts pretending to be hurt..Thats all the Chinese had and there are no judges in tennis..so justice prevailed..

Good luck on all your picks, except Jankovic..I wont lie..I want Zheng to win..Good Day Sir!

PSS..No way Roger wins this title..You can just look at him and see he is a weaker man..His right arm used to look like Hulk Hogans while his left arm was pencil thin..Now they are both pencil thin..I do not have the extra 300 bucks at 5 Dimes to let it sit idle during this college football weekend or I would bet Fed not to win..Plus you cannot parlay this bet, I think

Honestly, I can see why you would take Zheng. She has been playing well recently and at +250 it's tempting. I just think Jelena has a better overall game. I will agree she is slightly overrated because I don't think she is the second best player on tour (Safina, the Williams sisters and Sharapova are the top 4 IMO), but she is still solid and should win tomorrow. I really wouldn't mind losing that one bet if Wozniacki advances though as it will give her a much easier bracket.

Reynolds is more then likely gone tomorrow, but I think +452 odds is a lot of value against a tired, overpriced Gonzalez. Reynolds has a strong serve and I can see this match being decided by a couple tiebreaks. Worth a shot at 4.5/1. Warburg is a solid dog bet for tomorrow, and is probably the one I like the best after the three I played. Almagro still isn't in full form yet and hasn't played much tennis in the past few months. Not sure Na Li goes home tomorrow, but she gets herself in trouble too often for me to play her at -410. Out of her Gulbis and Warburg, at least one should hit for you though which is a profit. J-W Tsonga is a guy that could easily make a big run in this tourney, but I wouldn't be surprised if he lost tomorrow. Moya doesn't impress me though and I won't put money on him.

Good luck tomorrow, like the plays. Hopefully they all hit but Zheng.:103631605

I agree he does not look the same as he did a year ago when he was in his prime, but he has a pretty easy path to the semis. I don't see Davydenko as a huge threat, and I think he'll actually end up playing Haas in the QF. No real major threat till he could face either Novak, Tsonga, Roddick, Gonzalez or Safin in the SF. He was lucky that he got the easiest quarter of the draw. I like Novak's odds there, but he has by far the toughest quarter of the draw and it will be difficult to make it out of there and then possibly have to beat Federer and Nadal to win.
