UPGRADED: Fantasy Hockey Players

Hopefully others take part in this thread. It appears we are going to see a fantasy value spike in players this season. For example: Claude Giroux of the Philly Flyers.

After playing C his whole career he's now on the wing due to Patrick Nolan playing down the middle. But, this does not mean Giroux won't see key faces, especially on the PP. He struggled last season, and this 'demotion' should get his a$$ going again.

Zemgus Girgensons - Buffalo Sabres

When Blysma ran the bench, Girgensons has a major production drop off. However, with Phil Housley running the bench, he has given Girgensons a first line spot hoping to give Girg's back his 19minute per night playing time. He's been skating with Ryan O'Reilly and Kyle Okposo.

Could be an under the radar player worth looking into for at least the first 1/4-1/2 of the season.

Nick Schmaltz - Chicago Blackhawks

Anisimov centered the second line last season with Patrick Kane. He's been bumped down to the third line. Now Schmaltz is playing along side Kane. If Schmaltz doesn't produce, I fully expect him to drop back to 3rd or even 4th line playing time. However, whenever you get a new guy on a line with Kane, good things happen.

Def. an under the radar player worth looking into.
