Even though I stated before the season that I will no longer be maintaining the Phil Steele/NC Thread this season, which included picks, record

keeping and commentary on their promotions, etc., I have decided that from time to time, I am going to update their records so that

people can see how they have been doing overall with their Late Phones only based on the ratings of the play2-5 stars).

I will also include the cheapest cost of service in the tabulation to get these plays.

The college records will incorporate the sides and totals into one record and a separate record for the Pros.

With that, here are the records so far:

College 7-4

Pros-4-3-1

Total cost of service $229

Including the cost of service anyone who has played these games at $100 a unit, is up 2.17 units or $217.

Correction-For the record the 2.17 units of +$217 is still correct, but the cost of service for the two weeks is $428 rather than the $229 which originally

did not include Week One.

One last thing for now:

If anyone out there wants to post the NC plays, comps., etc. on given days if and when they get them, please feel free to do so.

However, I am going to stick to and update the record keeping as shown in post 1.

Here is something else to consider for you folks to consider before you think that the Marquees are a bargain because they are a lot cheaper than the Late Phones.

The records through last night are:

College(combined sides and totals) 5-13

NFL 2-6

Combined record is a "not so hot" 7-19.

Here you go with the Weekly Update, and believe me it is UGLY!!

In short after remaining around the Mendoza Line until this last week, reality finally set in, and NC finds itself in its losing mode and any clients who

have followed BURIED for the season.

Last weekend including last night overall resulted in the NC Late Phones losing 13.2 units or $1,320 at $100 a unit.

Throw in the cost of Late Phone for a non PS subscriber of $245, and the service lost 15.65 units or $1,565 for the week.

Here are the cumulative numbers:

Colleges 23-17-1

Pros-9-15-1

Cost of service $1432 (for an non PowerSweep or PowerPlay subscriber).

Including the cost of service, anyone who has played these games at $100 according to ratings, is down 16.52 units on the season or $1,652.

It should be noted that for anyone who is interested in buying the Late Phones this week, it is Customer Appreciation Week, which they always run

around this time of year.

This in essence brings their totally insulting regular msrp prices simply down to a "mere" overpricing for their Late Phones.

More importantly they always run this "special" after a bad week, which last week certainly was, as a desperate attempt to get people to buy their picks.

See previous post for more.

Here are the cumulative numbers through last night:

Colleges 29-19-3

Pros-11-17-1

Cost of service $1677 (for an non PowerSweep or PowerPlay subscriber).

Including the cost of service, anyone who has played these Late Phone games at $100 a unit according to ratings, is down 8.82 units or MINUS $882.

What is interesting so far is that unlike most previous years, where pro picks did well and college picks sucked, this year is just the opposite.

NC goes 7-3 including totals(6-1 in sides and 1-2 in totals).

It will be interesting to so see if they can win today also, because the NFL unlike the colleges, has not been good so far.

Including the cost of service, anyone who has played these Late Phone games at $100 a unit according to ratings, is now up 1.08 units or $108.

Here are the cumulative numbers through last night:

Colleges 42-27-3

Pros-13-23-1

Cost of service $2117 (for a non PowerSweep or PowerPlay subscriber).

Including the cost of service, anyone who has played these Late Phone games at $100 a unit according to ratings, is now DOWN 4.62 units or MINUS $462.

The trend continues of doing much better with the college picks than with the Pro Picks, whereas in just about all of the other years, the opposite was true.

Until tomorrow, when I do my weekly update, here is what I have to say.

The College GOY lost Saturday and they had yet another overall losing week.

We were told all week that this was going to be the "deepest card of the season."

Including tonight's play, which even if it wins will result in a losing week, it means that a non PS subscriber who had to pay to get all of these plays, shelled

out $200 on Saturday, $50 yesterday and another $20 for tonight for a grand total of $270.

I will leave it to your judgment to decide what this means in addition to the five CONSECUTIVE and DOCUMENTED LOSING SEASONS for this outrageous

and insulting types of prices, which they try to claim are discounted prices!!

Here is an interesting observation for those who are interested.

I have noticed that since Monday, Nov. 9 there has been no mention of the NC Community Comp.Line(ext. 4) on either extension 3 or 9, nor is it mentioned when

one first calls the NC Comp. Line and what is being offered for the day.

I went to the NC Website, and while the members of the Community Cappers are still listed, if you go to try to purchase anything from any of them for a given day,

there is nothing listed for them and the price is listed as $0.

What does this all mean?

Well I came up with several possibilities:

1)Virtually no one was buying anything from these folks, meaning that Steele/NC decided that it is a waste of time to even bother to keep these folks around.

2) My NC insider from the other site I was on before coming over here, told me that Phil Steele/NC are cheap SOB's and if someone bought

something from any of these folks, Steele/NC kept 75-85% of the proceeds.

For example if someone bought picks from one of these services(several of these services are known to be fake services, and that Phil Steele/NC

simply takes some consensus picks from the other services and puts them out plays as another service-eg Accupics), for say $20, NC would keep around $16 or

$17, and the service would get only $3 or $4).

This cheapness in turn drove all of these cappers away over time so that virtually all of them have decided that they are better off on their own, and none remain.

3) The other possibility is that neither 1 nor 2 above is true, but rather because of what will now be late starting NBA and NHL seasons because of the Pandemic,

which resulted in season ending late, Steele/NC didn't want to take the chance that folks would be tempted to buy the football picks(the only game in town

at the moment), from the NC Community Cappers rather than from NC.

Thus as I see it, NC may have furloughed them until college basketball, NBA and hockey return.

As a follow-up to yesterday's post, I called NC today, and Todd the comp. man did mention to check ext .4 for an update pf what's cooking today.

Well I just checked and he Nov. 9 message is still up, and prices for all of the cappers at website is listed as Zero with nothing available.

Did Todd simply forget today and mentioned ext.4 out of habit, or is it something else, such as perhaps a code to let folks that Steele/NC has available

something else to sell today, such as maybe drugs. lol

If you say that is absurd and some/or kind of wild conspiratorial theory, well then all I can say that this is just as likely and probably a lot more so than some

of the wild/nonsensical, illogical and unproven, laughable and failed bs spewed forth in the Rubber Room every day.

Ext. 4 finally up and running today but with nowhere as many cappers on it as there used to be.

Imo a lot of them fled because Phil Steele/NC are so cheap in the cut the services received as opposed to NC, that they decided that they are better off

peddling their plays on their own with no middleman to pay.

ps I don't know if this is the case this year, but a number of years ago my NC insider stated that Phil/NC made employees punch out on the time clock

if they simply wanted to take a piss or dump-this is NOT a joke!!

It is sort of funny in a way.

As you can see in post 16, NC's record in the NFL has been horrible, although they would never admit, as only positive stuff is included in their

overall recording keeping.

Well anyways in order to change their luck, NC tried a new tact today since they suck so bad in their sides selections.

What they did was release four Late Phone Totals today with no side selections.

Result- a 1-3 day. lol

But don't worry, all you will hear all week is talk about their good college record with sides and no mention of their college totals or more importantly mention

of their deplorable NFL record and of course no talk that they are down overall for the season so far, which if it continues would make it the SIXTH CONSECUTIVE

LOSING SEASON since I started documenting this scandalous service!!!
