That is the error message I receive when trying to start my Dell Inspiron D600 for Windows XP.

It wants me to make sure hardware/software installed properly but I am unable to get Windows to load at all (not in Safe mode, Last Known Good Configuration). If the problem persists (it is) it states to bisable BIOS memoray options. It tells me to restart in safe mode pressing f8 to get to advanced options but it wont work.

Any idea on how to get into windows so as to check for software issues?
Will I need to find and load a copy of XP again?

I have no clue and any help would be appreciated.

Start up from Windows CD and chose repair with Recovery Console, then run

chkdsk /r

This might help.
