I would never wish anything bad on anyone, and what has happend with Farve's dad is terrible. As I write this message I am sitting in the hospitol next to my mom who has cancer.
But, when these life altering events happend, we as handicappers sometimes have to look at the effect they can have on a game.
I am from Texas, and if you can recall about three years ago the bonfire collapsed at Texas A&M. It was horrible. I am a Longhorn, but we all still felt terrible. Anyway, I layed money on a superior Texas team to see them lose outright.
There are tons of examples when a player or a team has an issue like this and they rise to a new level of performance. As if they are inspried by a higher power.
I know no one wants to talk about this angle, but Farve is a stand up guy. He stand for something. He will dedicate this game to his dad and he will hammer the Oakland secondary. He is such a great leader that his line will block better, Ahman Green will run harder, and the defense will feed off this momentum.
I am a new capper to this site. I am going to lay the chalk here and take Green Bay-5 before the line goes up again.
I know oakland played well, but they caught a fluke touchdown on an interception against baltimore and had a short field all day. They gave the ravens about every chance they could to win the game, but the ravens failed to capatilize.
Any thoughts? Anyway, Green Bay -5.
