respectfully disagree.

No need to tell my how to umpire as I have been doing it for 4 or 5 years. The umpire missed the call on 2nd plain and simple. Was never tagged. Big deal, that happens.

The umpire missed the call at home also.

Illini I never said these were blatantly missed calls, but missed nonetheless.

- I simply put that the umpire was behind the catcher and therefore didn't have a good view to see the slide. If you argue that then you are doing that just for the sake or arguing.
4-5 years experience doing little league means nothing. Zero. I know that, because I did the Pony league and high school thing, and was a "good" amateur horseshit umpire. Then I went to professional umpire school and learned the proper way. The umpire at home was in perfect position, and had a very good angle to make the call. It's all about angle and distance, and he was just fine. Was he "technically" safe? Who gives a shit. Notice how not one player or manager gave any hint of being the least bit disappointed in the call. Because it was the right call. The way tags are enforced, he was out by a MILE.
