Ultimate Football statistics...

Hi,

I've just set up a website designed to help people betting on football.

I don't think tipster sites offer any particular value, I prefer to just look through a whole lot of statistics, and then test systems based on what I find...

Would be interested to hear any views people might have...

it's a good effort but nothing really insightful really is there? I mean even bookmakers such as gamebookers offer time dispertion in goals. I ll take another look later on.

Hi,

I appreciate the comments. Perhaps they illustrate that we need to put more work into conveying exactly what the site is about.

I guess the origins came about because in my own search for data, I would find the odd piece of data on one site, another bit on another site, some badly displayed data on yet another site etc etc, and often never find the information I was looking for (for example, the team with the most 0-0 draws over a season, or for trading purposes, games likely to be 0-0 at half time, but not full time...)

For example, the data displayed in gamebookers, includes very pretty, but almost entirely useless graphs, and the way in which the distribution of goals scored and conceded is displayed is not particularly user friendly (i.e. raw numbers are easier for a punter to read than bar charts with percentages). And while it has distribution of goals, it doesn't have distribution of first goal time.

With our site, you can custom search for the data most relevant to the multitude of betting markets; be it overs/Under, Asian handicap, correct score, goal times, total goals etc etc... Plus, you can look at head to head data, or how many games it has been since a certain scenario occurred, or recent team form, either on a home / away or home and away basis... Up until now, I've never found a site that has all of this in one place, so that's pretty much our thinking behind the site...

While this may have predictive value,i don't see where this will
have any betting value. Surely the linesmaker has this info as well.

while I agree on the point you are making Maria (although to what extent they weigh each piece of information into the line is open to question), a lot of people are very keen on sites with statistics and this one is indeed a very well done job, thorough, well laid out, and manageable. If people find such statistics useful I am sure they we could do much worse at other sites I ve checked.
