Prediction: 2-0 Udinese

Totenham could care less about this game because of huge problems in Premier league. They already looking ahead to Bolton match this Sunday. With relegation insight, who gives the damn about UEFA Cup. :103631605

wow...you're way off

Anyone who know anything about UEFA soccer tournaments knows that there are huge amounts of money to be made in these games. Most importantly from TV rights or broadcasting rights. Players get win bonuses as well. Lose and you get 0. The farther into a tournament a club goes the more the whole team makes. Some 7 years ago, when I lived in the Netherlands, players were able to fetch $250,000 each for winning the Champions League Finals. Lastly, UEFA games mean TV exposure; players who are about to become free agents can put themselves on display to win big contracts. This is one of the explanations why Eastern European clubs do so well in these games as compared to their own leagues.

for the above reasons, I will take Ajax ML as well as against the spread tomorrow as well as the draw, against Aston Villa. Ajax generally does very well in Uefa games, especially at home, even when they stink playing in its own national league.
Money and fame is a very powerful motivator. These games are not for laughs and giggles.

yes and no....in ECL you are right..there is big money to be made. Uefa-Cup is a different story. Of cause there is money involved but by far not so much as in ECL and not enough to get the teams from big leagues interested (at least during group stage).
I totally agree that the teams from eastern europe or in general from the smaller leagues doing better, but again it has to do with the amount of money which is enough to get these teams interested but not he bigger teams.

Sonnycam, Ramos is under tremendous pressure right now and under different circumstances this game would've been important for Spurs, but when this ugly word "RELEGATION" hunts this club with 8 games into the premiership season (2 draws and 6 defeats), Ramos must focus on his top priority- AVOID THE RELEGATION by all cost. And also remember that Udinese is in exellent form right now. :toast:
