Read this in the paper today:
The Livorno Chairman said they he finds the Serie A most important and he wants his team out of the UEFA Cup asap. He even said that he would make up the line-up for Thursday away game against Partizan Belgrade.

We could see alot of youngsters in this match for Livorno. Parma did the same last season in a couple of their matches.

Odds for Partizan to win are +107 atm.

Partizan Belgrade v Livorno:
Pick: Partizan Belgrade: 1 unit / +114 (2.14)
Gonna go with Partizan in this game. Livorno will not take this game serious and they won't give 100%. Livorno lost their opening game at home against Rangers. Partizan had a bye in week 1 but they played impressive in their first round tie against Groningen. They won the home game against Groninge 4-2 and they narrowly got away with a 1-0 loss in Groningen (even the best teams in the Dutch league fear playing in Groningen).

Record: : 3-1 / Total: +4.00 units

I am still working on the other games.

I've learned the hard way during the years that you can't trust the Italians in this kind of situation... Their so-called b-teams aren't always b-teams anyway and they seem to perform quite well even though the team might be weaker than possible. I'm not touching this game, but good luck to you Seahawks!

Write-up from Tip-Ex:

"If the Livorno president has it his way, Livorno will come with a B team for this game. " We will suffer in Serie A, if we use our best players in the UEFA Cup " - his words. He is probably right, but no guarantee that the coach and his players agree. I got the impression that the Livorno footballers enjoy playing in Europe, although they had a bad start, losing to Rangers, 2-3. Indeed coach Arrigoni has stated that Livorno will use their best possible side. C Lucarelli will start up front with Danilievicius. So now we know.

Partizan are third in the Serbian league, with 6-2-3 after 11 rounds. Traditionally they are hard to beat in their home fixtures, but on the whole Livorno are of course much stronger. Partizan have a 17 year old striker, Jovetic, but he is ineligible for this match. I very much doubt the quality of this Partizan side, but then we have this thing with the Livorno motivation. I have more trust in their coach than in their president. Away win! (3.75)"

@Duckstabber: It's a 1 unit play for me. I still believe that Partizan have a chance to win this match.

Grasshoppers v AZ Alkmaar:
Pick: AZ Alkmaar: 2 units / +266 (2.66)
I have only seen AZ in action but I liked what i saw from them. They have a talented bunch of players. It's a good mix of young and older players. van Gaal is an experienced coach and AZ take the UEFA Cup very serious. AZ always plays for the win, they can't play for a draw here. That is just not their style. Gonna throw 2 units on the dutchies to win.

Indeed they do! I'm not saying you're on the wrong side - just not a game I feel comfortable wagering on. BOL. :toast:

I am done for tonight. Partizan didn't get the win, but AZ saved my day. It was a rollercoaster-game but the dutchies did their job in the end.

Partizan Belgrade v Livorno 1-1
-1 unit

Grasshoppers v AZ Alkmaar 2-5
+3.32 units
:money8:

New record: 4-2 / Total: +6.32 units.

BOL to all of you that have games in progress.
