Fed again wins in straights. Since arriving on North American soil , in 8 matches, he has not lost a set. WTF? ....winning Cinci and now cruising into the 4th round at Flushin. American big serving Isner is his next opponent. .....when's the last time an American mens tennis player won a Grand Slam title? :)..answer; 2003. 12 yrs ago. Wow. Unheard of, never had such a stretch since 1920. American men's tennis has fallen right off the map

interesting match tomorrow with a pair of Frenchmen; Tsonga Vs Paire. Tsonga is a heavy favorite, however, Paire is very dangerous. He's in top form. Confident play since winning Bastad . He has groundstrokes to battle from the back on hardcourt- he showed this with his win Vs number 4 in the world Kei. +2.5 sets is a tough prop to stay away from. Paire must serve a lot better than he has in his last two matches to win this match outright.

if anyone's looking for Andy Murray, try LaGuardia or JFK airport... Anderson takes him out

men's qtrs all set; Tsonga Vs Cilic will be a fuckin' war, battle of the big servers............ Donald Young is still standing? :)

this man dispatched Isner....... in straights ........

Kvitova goes down to ageless Pennetta , wow... on the woman's side it's looking more and more of a repeat of the Cinci final; Serena Vs Halep.

Djokovic , again, did not look fantastic dispatching Lopez in 4 yesterday evening. If he's going to win The US Open, it appears he'll do so without the 'A' game- that would be amazing. He hasn't looked right since Montreal. He has Cilic in the semi's - he OWNS the big server, 13-0 career. However, the defending champion has reached the semi's , obviously he's playing well. Cilic +2.5 sets is very attractive

men's qtrs finish today;

wawrinka vs anderson; big stage for Anderson- his first GS qtr final. Can he knock off another top seed?

Gasquet Vs Fed-- Fed hasn't lost a set yet, WTF ; do 34 yr olds do that in GS's?...:)

the other semi-final from the mens side is now all set. French Open Champions Wawrinka takes care of Anderson in straights....Fed destroys Gasquet also in straights; never facing break point. Since landing on North American soil, including his title at Cinci , he's now won 10 straight matches, has not lost a set and has been broken twice in 25 sets....just crazy

Nole Vs Cilic

Wawrinka Vs Fed-- two friends to do battle....h2h caree,r Fed leads 18-3. A bit misleading as Stan has only recently blossomed to the elite World class group. This year he beat Fed in straights on the clay at Roland Garros. Stan, arguably, has the game's best backhand.......... Fed's first true test will be this match

dunno greenbacks, Fed's in absolute top form. Nole hasn't been exactly himself during this summer HC season. Fed beat Nole in straights at Cinci.................now or never for Fed. One more slam in him?....
