Who will win more money in main event?
Josh Arieh -126 over Cindy Violette (1 unit)
Starting day 3 he will have 85.5k chips to Violette 78k.
Josh is very successful at tournaments and this line is reasonably low because Violette has been having a better WSOP with 120k in winnings vs Ariehs app 5k.
I think in the long run he is a stronger NL holdem player than Violette and since this is the main event, hopefully he will be more focused than in earlier events.
Phil Ivey -127 vs Daniel Adelson (.5 units)
Starting day 3 Ivey 23.4k vs Adelson 26.6
The reality is that with blinds starting at 600,1200 and moving to 800,1600 with 200 ante fairly early in day, both players will have to make a move real soon.
I feel that if Ivey can double up once he will have enough chips to work his way into the money. Ivey could go out early but the good thing is that even if he busts out then Adelson will still have to beat out about 300 players to get paid.
About 1200 players are left and a shade under 900 places pay.
Besides when will I ever get Ivey at such low odds vs a relative unknown player again.
