This doesn’t look like a very competitive matchup on paper; the betting market seems to be overly enamored with Houston (Under 12-11-1) and their outstanding offense, which ranks sixth overall on Ken Pomeroy’s charts. But the Cougars also have the No. 8-ranked defense in the nation, and they only get in around 62.9 possessions per game, leaving Houston at No. 347 in Adjusted Tempo.

Tulsa (Over 12-9-1) figure to be a relatively neutral commodity as far as this bet is concerned. They’re not particularly good at anything, but the projections I’m looking at say they’ll only score around 54 points this Wednesday to Houston’s 81 or 82.
