I've really been looking forward to these matches. Not so much from a betting standpoint because I couldn't pick a winner if you let me check the scores the day after the games. From a soccer fan's point of view, this is fantastic with these fabulous matchups. I like two games on Tuesday. I'll keep the writeups short seeing as I'll lose whether I write a few lines or a novel.
Arsenal's defense is in for a long afternoon without Sol Campbell and maybe without Ashley Cole. They've been conceding goals and look very unorganizd at the back and I think both their goalkeepers stink. Bayern Munich are clicking right now even without Michael Ballack. Mehmet Scholl has filled in nicely. I still like Arsenal's offense and think this will be a wide open, entertaining game.
Arsenal- Bayern Munich over 2 and 2 1/2 -102
Juventus are running the prevent offense to a T. They're a perfect example of why watching Serie A soccer should be done on a pay per view basis only. You should get paid to watch their games. Juventus have blown an eight point lead and now are actually in second place on goal difference to another team running the prevent offense, AC Milan. The absence of Pavel Nedved has clearly hurt Juventus. I've heard mixed reports about his playing status for this game.
While they won't admit it, Real Madrid have mailed in the La Liga title to Barcelona. Their sole focus now is the Champion's League and I think they'll shutout Juventus here. Until their poor effort over the weekend, Real Madrid had won seven straight and I like them to get back on the winning track here.
Real Madrid pk and -1/2 -133
