Cleveland Indians vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Los Angeles Dodgers -146
think the Dodgers are worth the price of admission in this spot. The visiting Indians will start Justin Masterson (4-5, 5.03 ERA) who is coming off a short injury stint. Masterson had his start pushed from Sunday to Tuesday due to a sore right knee. The right-hander has been inconsistent this season, especially on the road where he is 1-4 with an awful 6.65 ERA; note that Masterson is 0-1 with an ugly 7.62 ERA in his last three games overall. The surging Dodgers will respond with Josh Beckett (5-4, 2.11 ERA); starting with his no-hitter at Philadelphia on May 25th, Beckett (5-4, 2.11 ERA) has a 1.34 ERA while going 3-3 in seven starts. The right-hander has not yielded a run in four of those outings, including the last two where he's given up four hits over seven innings in each (he out-dueled Adam Wainwright during a 1-0 victory over St. Louis on Thursday). The Dodgers come in having won six of seven and three straight while the Indians have lost six of eight and are on the seventh game of an eight game Western road trip. The Dodgers have started to pick it up after a slow start to the season and are now in sole possession of first place in the division; LA has won 16 of 22 games coming into this contest. The Dodgers are also 8-4 their last 12 interleague games. Consider a second look at LA in this one.
