Free Pick on Dodgers -

I cashed in on the Dodgers with my free pick on Monday and will fire right back with LA on Tuesday. The Dodgers are one of the most talented teams in the league and are playing some of their best baseball right now. LA has won 5 straight and are 10-2 over their last 12. While the Dodgers are surging, St. Louis is going in the opposite direction. The Cardinals are a mere 3-9 in their last 12.

LA won the series opener 5-1 yesterday and that continued a poor run at the plate for St Louis, who is averaging just 2.6 runs/game and hitting .212 as a team over their last 7 games. The Dodgers, on the other hand, have scored 5 or more in 3 straight and 9 of their last 12. LA will send out Kenta Maeda, who has a 2.95 ERA in his last 3 starts, while the Cardinals counter with Michael Wacha, who has a 4.50 ERA and 1.437 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Take Los Angeles!

Play on: Royals +120 at GTBets

Yesterday I gave you guys a free winner on the Pirates today I turn my attention toward the Royals and the Detroit Tigers. I love fading Justin Verlander for awhile now he just gets to much respect from the books with not very good results he has 58-29 strike out to walk ratio. Royals have lost 2 straight games and need a win at home badly. They send 24 year old Eric Skoglund to the mound. Love the Royals here to cash this plus money ticket. 15* Royals.

DMack's Bonus Play for Tuesday, May 30, 2017 is on the Nats/Giants Under

Geo Gonzalez is the oft forgot starter in the Nat rotation but he rocks a below 3.00 ERA in his seven starts and is what he is, he'll generally make a quality start and last six innings ... giving you a chance to win and close things out with the pen. Jeff Samardzija was brutal in his first five starts but has really come around in his last three starts rocking a 2.49 ERA and 0.93 whip while walking just one and striking out 24. The Giants are not hitting a lick (.203 L7) and 11 of the last 14 in the series have gone under the total. Would like to get eight as the total here but we'd all like an extra half run on all our totals. Play the Under here.

MLB | Yankees vs Orioles
Play on: Orioles +128 at BMaker

Jack's Free Pick Tuesday: Baltimore Orioles +128

The Baltimore Orioles are consistently undervalued at home. They are 16-7 at home this season and 19-7 in their last 26 home games dating back to last year. And now they're home dogs to the New York Yankees today.

Chris Tillman has made just four starts this season as he has battle injuries. But he's starting to come into his own with a 4.43 ERA in four starts, and a 3.94 ERA in three home starts. He is 3-0 with a 3.24 ERA in his last four starts against the Yankees as well.

Luis Severino is off to a great start this season for New York, but he's unlikely to be able to keep up this level of performance, and he's overvalued right now as a result. Severino is 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA in four career starts against Baltimore.

The Orioles are 11-3 in Tillman's last 14 starts against the Yankees, including 5-0 in his last five home starts vs. New York. The Yankees are 7-22 in their last 29 meetings in Baltimore. The Orioles are 55-25 in their last 80 home games vs. a right-handed starter. Baltimore is 25-11 in Tillman's last 36 starts overall, including 15-5 in his last 20 home starts. Bet the Orioles Tuesday.

A's +154 at 5DIMES

Dave's Tuesday Bonus Play:

1* on Oakland A's +154

The Key: I really love the price on the Oakland A's as big road underdogs to the Cleveland Indians today. I would certainly argue that the A's have the better starter here. Ace Sonny Gray is back healthy this season and is 2-1 with a 3.34 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 5 starts this year. He has struck out 19 batters while allowing only 10 base runners in 13 innings while winning each of his last 2 starts. Trevor Bauer has been awful. He's 4-4 with a 6.30 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 9 starts this year. Gray is 2-1 with a 2.59 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in 5 lifetime starts vs. Cleveland. Take Oakland.

1 Unit Bonus Play on St. Louis Cardinals +111

Good value here with the St. Louis Cardinals as home dogs to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Cardinals have lost four of their last five and need a win to stem the tide. The Dodgers are getting too much love after winning five straight coming in. The Cards have the clear edge on the mound tonight with Michael Wacha, who is 2-0 with a 2.35 ERA in five home starts this year. Kenta Maeda is 1-1 with a 6.60 ERA in three road starts this season, and 4-2 with a 5.08 ERA in eight starts overall. Wacha is 3-3 with a 3.35 ERA in seven starts against the Dodgers. The Dodgers are 3-17 in their last 20 road games following two or more consecutive wins.

Preview: Athletics at Indians
GAME: Oakland Athletics (22-28) at Cleveland Indians (26-23)
DATE/TIME: Tuesday, May 30 - 6:10 PM EST
WHERE: Progressive Field, Cleveland, Ohio

The Cleveland Indians have sputtered at home for much of the season, but they are making up for it by beating up on the American League West. The Indians have more wins against AL West foes (11-2) than they do at Progressive Field (10-13) as they continue a four-game series against the visiting Oakland Athletics on Tuesday night.

Slugger Edwin Encarnacion, signed as a free agent in the offseason, is finally starting to pay dividends for Cleveland. Encarnacion clubbed his 10th homer and extended his hitting streak to eight games in Monday's 5-3 win that dropped Oakland to an AL-worst 7-18 on the road. The Athletics have lost three in a row since opening their seven-game road trip with a victory at Yankee Stadium. Oakland right-hander Sonny Gray, coming off a dominant outing, looks to win his third straight start when he opposes Cleveland's Trevor Bauer.

TV: 6:10 p.m. ET, NBCSN California (Oakland), SportsTime Ohio (Cleveland)

PITCHING MATCHUP: Athletics RH Sonny Gray (2-1, 3.34 ERA) vs. Indians RH Trevor Bauer (4-4, 6.30)

Gray overpowered Miami on Wednesday, striking out 11 and permitting one run on three hits over seven innings to win back-to-back starts following two straight no-decisions. The 27-year-old struck out eight and pitched six innings of three-run ball to beat Boston in his previous turn. In five career starts against the Indians, Gray is 2-1 with a 2.59 ERA.

Bauer's bid for a third straight victory came up short when he settled for a no-decision versus Cincinnati last time out, giving up two runs over 5 1/3 innings. He won his previous two starts, allowing three runs in each while registering a combined 16 strikeouts over 11 2/3 innings. Bauer continues to struggle with the long ball, surrendering 11 homers in his nine starts.

WALK-OFFS

1. The Indians have homered in 14 straight games.

2. Athletics DH Ryon Healy is 6-for-11 with a homer and four RBIs during his last three games.

3. Indians 3B Jose Ramirez is 6-for-8 with three doubles and three runs scored in his last two contests.

Preview: Diamondbacks at Pirates
GAME: Arizona Diamondbacks (31-22) at Pittsburgh Pirates (24-28)
DATE/TIME: Tuesday, May 30 - 7:05 PM EST
WHERE: PNC Park, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Robbie Ray is making himself at home on the road this year and hopes to continue that trend when the Arizona Diamondbacks visit the Pittsburgh Pirates for the second of a three-game series on Tuesday night. Ray is coming off a pair of dominating performances as he attempts to win three straight starts for the first time in his career.

Ray has been nearly unhittable away from home, posting a 3-1 record and microscopic 0.81 ERA in five starts - compared with a bloated 6.75 mark at Arizona's Chase Field. The Diamondbacks need a boost after being outscored 19-9 during a three-game skid and are in danger of losing four straight for the first time. Resurgent Pirates center fielder Andrew McCutchen belted a walk-off homer in Monday's 4-3 series opener, extending his hitting streak to five games following a 1-for-20 slump. Ivan Nova, who is 4-1 over his last seven starts for Pittsburgh, opposes Ray.

TV: 7:05 p.m. ET, FSN Arizona, ROOT (Pittsburgh)

PITCHING MATCHUP: Diamondbacks LH Robbie Ray (4-3, 3.45 ERA) vs. Pirates RH Ivan Nova (5-3, 2.83)

Ray is coming off a masterful performance in Milwaukee, blanking the Brewers on two hits and striking out nine over seven innings. That followed another superb outing at San Diego in which the 25-year-old tossed 7 2/3 scoreless innings of two-hit ball. Ray was winless in his previous four turns, including a no-decision against Pittsburgh in which he gave up four runs in four innings.

Nova won his second straight start last time out, giving up four runs on 10 hits over 8 1/3 innings after blanking Atlanta for the first six frames. Although he has allowed more than three earned runs in two of his 10 starts, the 30-year-old has been reached for 45 hits over his last five turns - including nine to go along with three runs at Arizona on May 14. Paul Goldschmidt is 3-for-6 with two homers off Nova.

WALK-OFFS

1. Pirates OF Gregory Polanco exited Monday's game with a right ankle sprain and is scheduled to see a doctor Tuesday.

2. Diamondbacks C Chris Iannetta had a pinch-hit homer Monday, the fourth blast in his last six games.

3. McCutchen's sixth walk-off homer tied Willie Stargell and Ralph Kiner for the most in club history.

Preview: Yankees at Orioles
GAME: New York Yankees (29-19) at Baltimore Orioles (26-23)
DATE/TIME: Tuesday, May 30 - 7:05 PM EST
WHERE: Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Baltimore, Maryland

The Baltimore Orioles still aren't lighting up the scoreboard, but at least they snapped their seven-game losing streak. The Orioles will try to make it two wins in a row when they host the New York Yankees in the second of a three-game series on Tuesday.

Dylan Bundy turned in seven strong innings and Jonathan Schoop drove in a pair in Monday's 3-2 triumph, which ended Baltimore's longest slide in six years. "It's a challenge every day ... staying strong mentally through the challenges that every season presents, good and bad," Orioles manager Buck Showalter told reporters. "It's one of those things - I talk to them all the time - that separate you from some people that don't have the skills to do this. Everybody is skilled at this level." The Yankees remain in first place in the American League East but are losers of four of their last five road games. Trying to end that run for New York on Tuesday will be Luis Severino, while the Orioles counter with veteran righty Chris Tillman.

TV: 7:05 p.m. ET, YES (New York), MASN (Baltimore)

PITCHING MATCHUP: Yankees RH Luis Severino (3-2, 3.11 ERA) vs. Orioles RH Chris Tillman (1-1, 4.43)

Severino snapped a four-start winless streak with his best outing of the season on Wednesday, when he scattered four hits and one walk over eight scoreless innings while striking out seven against Kansas City. The Dominican Republic native has surrendered one or no runs in four of his last six outings and owns a total of 61 strikeouts in 55 innings. Severino made his season debut at Baltimore on April 7 and did not factor in the decision while allowing four runs and six hits in five innings.

Tillman is still trying to work himself into a rhythm after beginning the season on the disabled list and suffered his first loss Wednesday, allowing four runs and nine hits in five innings to Minnesota. The 2013 All-Star has logged a quality start in one of his four outings and has yet to record an out past the sixth inning. Tillman is 8-6 with a 4.63 ERA in 19 career starts against New York.

WALK-OFFS

1. Orioles CF Adam Jones (hip, ankle) was a late scratch from the lineup on Monday and has sat out the last three games.

2. Yankees RF Aaron Judge has homered in back-to-back games to boost his majors-best total to 17.

3. Baltimore RHP Brad Brach has not allowed a hit in any of his last four appearances while logging seven strikeouts in four innings.

Preview: Dodgers at Cardinals
GAME: Los Angeles Dodgers (32-20) at St. Louis Cardinals (24-24)
DATE/TIME: Tuesday, May 30 - 7:05 PM EST
WHERE: Busch Stadium, St. Louis, Missouri

The Los Angeles Dodgers are riding the hot bat of rookie Cody Bellinger up the standings while picking off contenders from the National League Central. The Dodgers will try to move closer to clinching their third straight series win over an NL Central foe when they visit the St. Louis Cardinals in the second of a four-game series on Tuesday.

Bellinger became the fastest player in team history to reach double digits in home runs when he smacked his 10th in his 31st game on Sunday to cap a three-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs, and he wasted no time adding to his total by belting his 11th in the opener against the Cardinals on Monday. Bellinger, who is up to nine home runs in May, can set a franchise rookie record for home runs in a calendar month with one more blast in the next two games. St. Louis, which dropped two of three at Los Angeles last week, has lost nine of its last 12 games overall and is hoping to avoid its fourth consecutive series loss against an NL West opponent. The Cardinals will send right-hander Michael Wacha to the mound on Tuesday while the Dodgers counter with Kenta Maeda.

TV: 7:05 p.m. ET, ESPN, SportsNet LA (Los Angeles), FSN Midwest (St. Louis)

PITCHING MATCHUP: Dodgers RH Kenta Maeda (4-2, 5.08 ERA) vs. Cardinals RH Michael Wacha (2-2, 3.66)

Maeda worked five innings in his first start off the disabled list on Thursday against St. Louis and earned the win after allowing three runs and seven hits over five innings. The Japan native is 3-0 in his last four turns and did not yield more than three runs in any of those outings. Maeda won his only previous start at Busch Stadium last season and owns 44 strikeouts in 44 1/3 innings this season.

Wacha is winless in his last five starts and was lit up for six runs and seven hits over four innings at Los Angeles on Thursday. The Texas A&M product tossed six scoreless innings in a no-decision against San Francisco in his previous turn but has not recorded an out in the seventh inning in any of his last five outings. Wacha is 2-0 with a 2.35 ERA in five home starts this season versus 0-2 with a 6.19 ERA on the road.

WALK-OFFS

1. The Dodgers placed LHP Alex Wood (shoulder inflammation) on the 10-day DL and recalled RHP Brandon Morrow.

2. St. Louis rookie 3B Paul DeJong is 3-for-5 with a home run and a double in his first two big-league games.

3. Los Angeles 2B Chase Utley has homered in three of the last five games.

Preview: Reds at Blue Jays
GAME: Cincinnati Reds (24-26) at Toronto Blue Jays (24-27)
DATE/TIME: Tuesday, May 30 - 7:07 PM EST
WHERE: Rogers Centre, Toronto, Ontario

The Toronto Blue Jays welcomed a native son home prior to the start of Monday's series opener against the Cincinnati Reds, then spent most of the evening pounding Joey Votto's team into submission. Toronto seeks its seventh win in eight games Tuesday, when it continues the three-game set versus visiting Cincinnati.

The Blue Jays continued to dig themselves out of the 8-17 hole they dug in April by pounding out a season-high 23 hits - two shy of the club record - and almost doubled their previous season best in runs with a 17-2 thrashing of the Reds. Devon Travis and Ezequiel Carrera each recorded four-hit performances, while Justin Smoak, Russell Martin and Troy Tulowitzki all homered while combining to drive in 11 runs as Toronto improved to 16-10 this month. Votto went hitless in his three at-bats in his first visit to Rogers Centre since 2009, but Adam Duvall remained locked in by plating both of Cincinnati's runs and belting his fifth homer in as many games. The power-hitting outfielder, who has plated 10 runs over that same stretch, is up to 14 blasts for the season - one behind Washington's Bryce Harper and Reds teammate Scott Schebler for the National League lead.

TV: 7:07 p.m. ET, FSN Ohio (Cincinnati), SportsNet One (Toronto)

PITCHING MATCHUP: Reds RH Asher Wojciechowski (1-0, 2.25 ERA) vs. Blue Jays LH J.A. Happ (0-3, 4.50)

Wojciechowski struggled in Friday's relief outing at Philadelphia, yielding two runs - one earned - while recording just one out, after coming out of the bullpen to toss 3 2/3 scoreless innings in his season debut on May 20. The former first-round pick of the Blue Jays in 2010, who is filling in for the injured Amir Garrett, earned his promotion after going 1-0 with a 1.40 ERA in five starts at Triple-A Louisville. "I thought he kind of earned it by his performance at Triple-A. It made what seemed to be a reasonable decision an easy decision by going and pitching so well against Colorado," manager Bryan Price told The Cincinnati Enquirer.

Happ is expected to start for the first time since landing on the disabled list with left elbow inflammation shortly after an April 16 loss to Baltimore in which he gave up a run and four hits across 4 1/3 frames. The 34-year-old looked "very good" in a side session with pitching coach Pete Walker on Sunday - three days after he was tagged for three runs in as many innings in a rehab outing at Single-A Dunedin. Votto is 8-for-21 against Happ, who is 3-3 with a 5.44 ERA in eight career starts versus the Reds.

WALK-OFFS

1. Despite pitching fewer innings (248 2/3) than any other staff in the majors, Reds starting pitchers own the highest ERA (5.94) and have surrendered the most homers (55).

2. Travis is batting .473 during his 13-game hitting streak and .380 in May after hitting .130 last month.

3. Cincinnati RHP Homer Bailey (elbow) pitched two innings in an extended spring training game on Monday, while Toronto LHP Francisco Liriano (shoulder) allowed two earned runs in 4 1/3 frames in his first rehab start at Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.

Preview: Brewers at Mets
GAME: Milwaukee Brewers (27-24) at New York Mets (22-27)
DATE/TIME: Tuesday, May 30 - 7:10 PM EST
WHERE: Citi Field, New York City, New York

The New York Mets' pitching staff was bludgeoned for 29 runs in a three-game sweep at Milwaukee earlier this month, but they quieted the Brewers' offense in the opener of a four-game series. Duplicating that may be a tough task for New York, which sends Tyler Pill to the mound for his first major league start versus visiting Milwaukee on Tuesday night.

Mets second baseman Wilmer Flores went 3-for-4 in Monday's 4-2 victory, giving him multiple hits in five of his last nine games. Although outfielder Michael Conforto is 3-for-18 in the last four games, he had an RBI double Monday and has hit safely in nine of his last 10 contests. First baseman Eric Thames is in an 0-for-18 rut for the Brewers, who remain atop the National League Central despite dropping six of their last eight. Kyle Davies, who beat New York with five innings of four-run ball on May 13, looks to improve to 3-0 lifetime against the Mets.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Brewers RH Zach Davies (5-3, 5.33 ERA) vs. Mets RH Tyler Pill (0-1, 13.50)

Despite posting a quality start, Davies suffered his first loss since April 9 when he gave up three runs on seven hits over six innings in a 4-0 loss to Arizona last time out. The 24-year-old was 5-0 in his previous six turns despite pitching six innings just once in that span. Davies has pitched better away from Miller Park, posting a 9-3 career record and 3.84 ERA on the road.

Pill made in major league debut in relief Saturday at Pittsburgh, taking the loss after loading the bases on a single, hit batsman and a walk before Josh Edgin surrendered the winning hit. Pill gets a chance to atone for that cameo after he posted a 3-1 record with a 1.96 ERA in seven starts at Triple-A Las Vegas. He tossed 6 1/3 innings of one-run ball in his last start on May 21.

WALK-OFFS

1. Brewers OF Domingo Santana has two homers and six RBIs during a four-game hitting streak.

2. Mets RF Jay Bruce is 1-for-11 versus Milwaukee this season.

3. Brewers 3B Travis Shaw has hit safely in five straight and 16 of 17 games.

Preview: Phillies at Marlins
GAME: Philadelphia Phillies (17-32) at Miami Marlins (19-30)
DATE/TIME: Tuesday, May 30 - 7:10 PM EST
WHERE: Marlins Park, Miami, Florida

The Miami Marlins hadn't won a single series this month prior to last weekend - a feeling the Philadelphia Phillies know all too well. The Marlins eye their first three-game winning streak since mid-April and look to send the visiting Phillies to their 10th consecutive series loss on Tuesday as the National League East rivals play the middle contest of their three-game series.

Edinson Volquez worked six strong innings against Philadelphia's listless offense Monday to end a personal 16-start winless streak, sending the Marlins to their third victory in four contests but only their eighth in 26 games this month. "Obviously, it's been an awful month until this point. … But, at this point, you've got to move forward. … We're playing better. We're getting a little better pitching. Everything seems to be a little better," Miami manager Don Mattingly told MLB.com. The Phillies (17-32) took over the distinction of owning the worst record in the majors following their 23rd loss in 29 contests - a 4-1 setback on Monday in what was the seventh game in the last nine in which they scored two runs or fewer. "With our offense, we've got to start taking chances. I can't sit around and wait for three or four hits in a row. We haven't been doing that, so we're going to have to take chances," Philadelphia manager Pete Mackanin told reporters.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Phillies RH Vince Velasquez (2-4, 5.55 ERA) vs. Marlins LH Justin Nicolino (0-1, 5.40)

Velasquez bounced back a bit from a rough three-game stretch during which he went 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA with a no-decision versus Colorado on Thursday, allowing one run and eight hits while fanning seven over five innings. Although the 24-year-old is averaging more than a strikeout per inning (52 in 48 2/3 frames), he surrendered a home run for the eighth time in nine turns and sports a 1.46 WHIP. Giancarlo Stanton is 0-for-8 against Velasquez, who yielded three runs in an April 26 victory to improve to 2-0 with a 2.96 ERA in four career starts against the Marlins.

Nicolino hasn't taken the mound since May 19, when he was tagged for five runs - including a pair of homers - on seven hits and two walks over four innings in a loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Florida native posted a quality start in his season debut five days earlier, permitting one run on six hits and four walks in six frames versus Atlanta. Nicolino is 1-0 with a 2.74 ERA in four career appearances (three starts) versus the Phillies.

WALK-OFFS

1. The Marlins are 9-0 when allowing two or fewer runs, tied for the third-best such record in the majors.

2. After matching a career best by going four straight games without striking out, Philadelphia 1B Tommy Joseph equaled a personal worst by fanning three times in the opener.

3. Miami 1B Justin Bour needs one homer in the next two games to become the fourth player in club history to hit 10 in the month of May.

PREDICTION: Marlins 4, Phillies 2
