people always seem to have this fear, with the theory that if every tout is on one side, theres no way they can all be smarter than the books, but you guys are forgetting that the public side is on boise st tonight.... in other words, its John Q. vs. guys like Budin and Dr. Guru, who are you gonna side with? thats what i thought... :103631605

Yeah, that's why I questioned it as well. However, Sharp posted that 56% is on Boise, so I'm guessing that means a lot more money is coming in on TCU with fewer bets. Good sign for TCU bettors.

Peter Griffin, Bags, sharp, others concerned:

just because a line moves does not mean the public is on it, in fact, public trends usually move lines no more than a half point. what moved the line was steam, or large bets from what the books call "sharps", or bettors whose knowledge they respect. as you saw posted, the public is indeed on boise st, yet the line still increased, which suggests sharp money is coming in on tcu. i dont know if you guys already know this, im sure some of you do, and if so, i dont mean to patronize, just trying to share some info with those out there that arent aware of these occurances.

jcubs,

No offense taken at all. And I agree with everything you said above. I think one of the best things about these boards is people providing information, not just picks. You were right, it looks like the public is on Boise based on percentage of bets. I didn't mean to imply the public was on TCU, but I also didn't realize they were in fact siding slightly with Boise. It's very good to see the line go up even though the percentage is on Boise.

GL tonight!

FWIW, Youngstown has one of their "Bowl Super Plays" on the TCU game tonight. Supposedly these are the games they feel really strongly about...
