Truth Behind "Anti-War" Protesters Coming to Light

They are turning against (never really were for) the Troops!

Stay Tuned...

Columbia University Assistant Professor Nicholas De Genova, one of more than two dozen speakers at a "teach-in" on Wednesday night said, "The only true heroes are those who find ways that help defeat the U.S. military." Newsday also quoted him as saying, "I personally would like to see a million Mogadishus."

In an especially graphic image from the 1993 Mogadishu ambush and firefight, in which Somalis shot down two U.S. helicopters, a slain American soldier was dragged through the streets. The battle was portrayed in the film "Black Hawk Down."

The crowd of hundreds Wednesday night was largely silent as De Genova made the Mogadishu comment, but a number of them applauded later when he said, "If we really believe that this war is criminal ... then we have to believe in the victory of the Iraqi people and the defeat of the U.S. war machine."

De Genova said in a telephone interview Thursday that he intended to show his support for oppressed Iraqis and to encourage them to fight against their oppressors, whether domestic or foreign.

Rather shallow of you to overgeneralize due to an one or a few far outside the movement, with views much more radical than most. Having said that, this guy's statements, if accurate and in context, are appalling, in fact absurd. Who in good conscience could ever agree to his musings?
Not me, and I was proudly anti-war.
I can find equally absurd examples of moronic comments from the pro-war crowd, so what does that achieve?
Get off your incessant need to justify a war that was preventable

The truth about war supporters

They are little Hitlers who dream of the U.S. attaining full domination of the world because iof this happens the fact that they are citizens of the worlds dominator will help them deal with the small size of their penis.

are teaching you. Sabotoge is still illegal in the USA. Some of the protestors are commiting SABOTOGE in my opinion. Blocking the military at a time of war is sabotoge, blocking the use of public services could be sabotoge.

Are you EVEN a US citizen? I ask because this makes the top 5 most idiotic comments.

War supporters should be tried for complacency.

pop quiz out....

who said the following?

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."

I DON'T agree with this professor. And I think that by making a comment like this he was looking to make a point using shock-speak.
He was wrong and it backfired.
But to keep posting the article and this constant claiming that all pro-dissenters are pot-smoking hippies is so....1970.
To say that this one man represents all of that which is dissent in modern US is a grave error and is a gross underestimation of the intelligence of these protesters.
It would be as if the entire pro-war camp was equated with Bush. I would never do that to you.
The face of protest DOES change...even if the power structure does not.
