That's his weakness, and if he loses I'm going to suggest his abrasive personality probably cost him a very close and winnable election despite all the hatred directed at him from our media
You really can't blame him. No other president has faced the constant BS he's faced since day one! I'm surprised he hasn't had more outburst considering all the BS. I mean look at Joe calling him a clown twice, telling him to shut up man, all in 90 minutes. Can you imagine if he was under constant attack and faced the same smear campaign. Instead they ask him what flavour of ice cream he likes.
I concur, if they had a shred of integrity, this whole country would be better off, we wouldn't be so divided, there wouldn't be so much anger and hatred.
The biggest difference between us is I believe Trump has caused this division. If I happen to be correct in this, then Biden winning isn't doomsday. a shred of hope for the future.
Because other republican presidents have been beloved by the media(outside of fox which is simply biased but the other way, and for some reason don't consider themselves MSM even though they have the largest cable audience)? George W. Bush didn't face the same problems? I remember when he won re-election there was a paper with the headline "how can 70 million people be so stupid"
The truth is all republican presidents faced the same criticism. Trump just decided to whine about it a lot more and make it a central focus of his primaries/general election and then all 4 years of his presidency. All presidents to an extent bemoan negative news coverage but Trump took it to another level. He didn't face anymore "negative" news then his 2-term republican predecessor. Trump simply choice to focus on it.
IMO only a loser focuses on the hate. You take it in stride and move forward. On doing what you think is right. You give the hate as little attention as possible, and in the end, if you were right, you will be rewarded. One would think a republican could at lest agree with that last statement. But to each their own, and it's simply my opinion.
You really can't blame him.
I have said for years that our media is a cancer on society. Trump has exposed them and a lot more people think like me today
But he still gave them words to use against him
The biggest difference between us is I believe Trump has caused this division. If I happen to be correct in this, then Biden winning isn't doomsday. a shred of hope for the future.
Agree. I put much of the blame on the division of the country on the elite and the media.
But to say Trump deserves no blame for his role is just plain ignorant.
I'm thinking you're not really addressing me with that last statement. I have said he's a think skinned ego maniac on many occasions, and I wish he'd stop fueling their fire when it's avoidable.
In this very thread I said his abrasive personality is his biggest problem
Yes you can. Fighting fire with fire is one thing. You can do that, and still have some decency and tact.
You don't need to always be bringing gasoline to the fight. You are the president. Act like it.
If he would have acted more like he did in the 2nd debate a couple of weeks ago throughout his entire presidency, he would have won hands down. He could have still had that strong personality come through, without the childish bullshit.
