Because the stupid fucks don't know what good pizza is. I suspect they're Pizza Hut guys, lots of cheap cheese and god only knows what else

Do you prefer Wood fire over NY, Chi, and others?

I know its KING in your neck of the woods (and delicious)

Woodfire and coal. One of the best pizzerias in the country uses coal to fire the brick ovens and make Napolitana Pizza

Pepe's

I don't mind NY style pizza, still very thin. Not a fan of thick or deep dish pizzas

Frank Pepe?

we have 2 down here. Both about 30 min from me in different directions. Haven’t tried yet but heard great things.

Just looked, there are two in Florida. Delray Beach and Plantation, so the answer is yes I suppose

Get the fresh white clam pizza, the original recipe, no cheese. It's amazing. Also fresh roasted red peppers is a go to topping on other pizzas. Their specials are worth a look too, some truly unique combinations.

To be honest, there's nothing like the original New Haven location. Supposedly it's all about their 100 year old oven. Franchise locations are much more inconsistent, but still worth a shot (except Waterbury CT, they suck)

They just opened the one in Delray. I live right in between both of them.

the one is Delray is right by another wood fire restaurant that Portnoy recently have a HIGH rating to (barstool). Was in the area 2 weeks ago but it was for something else.

also went to a cool restaurant last nite that had a wood burning oven that they also used to put the bread on the table. Also used it as a dip for my sauces.

I would not eat a Pepe's pizza not made in New Haven
All the other locations do not due the original location and it's pizza justice.
They can use all the same ingredients, it is not nearly the same pizza at all.
Have tried it at 4-5 different locations besides New Haven.
Will never eat it outside of New Haven again.

Go to New Haven and take a tour of the great pizza places there
All top notch and fantastic if you love pizza

Ok, might not be as good as the original. But may still be better than other local options they have

It appears to me as more Northeasterners relocate to Florida, the quality of their pizza options is improving
