It's the egg and the chicken story.
How can you prove that you have a good cs dep. and reliable payout system if the customers have never heard of you or don't trust you?

I think, with all the scam books and the ones going belly up because of "investors agendas", is getting much more difficult to advertise cause the players now don't have any trust in new books that are trying to make a legit businness, and those are the ones that really need a good marketing dep.
If they offer a new and big bonus and low vig, you think they are a risk, and if they offer nothing new then they're not worth it... What can they do?

Any smart book would know NOT too advertise and waste money on whore *****r sites like these. No offense shrink..but your site breeds vermin. There are much better routes too go than waste 12 grand or whatever ridiculous fee you charge here. Just my opinion. As fa as marketing bonuses..If I were an owner I wouldn't give any damn bonuses...The eay people look at these things...that is the best marketing idea for now...no bounus..but we will pay you 24/7 7 days a week. Not mondays before 12....fridays after 6 or whtever nonsense some of these books get away with..It's as if it is THERE money your asking for...lol lol

Bonuses would be better given as a percentage of action wagered. Client plays X amount of days before receiving. Players & books alike should show some loyalty.

Are there people out there that really would sign up with a book just because they could get their money at say 3am on Tuesday morning? Gee I hope not. Maybe I am in the minority, but if a book was willing to send me money (WU,checks, wires) during normal weekday business hours and sent Netellers 7 days a week within normal betting hours I would think that would be sufficient. I mean I have thousands of dollars in my account at Bank of America but I accept the fact that I can only get a small amount of it in cash after business hours at an ATM, otherwise I have to do non-cash transactions (debit card or write checks) or go to the branch when they are open if I want more than my ATM limit at once.

I agree but they will never grow...

Say what you want regarding their sports books but The Main Guy behind BoDog and the Main Guy behind BetonSports are the two best in this biz, in that order, imo....

I think the biggest problem that books run into is they have trouble trying to figure out who they want to market too? They try to be all things to everyone(square, sharp, dumb, smart). Pick your niche if its small square bettors, setup marketing plan that will only attract them and keep the sharps away for the most part(SIA,betonsports). It seems like books get into trouble when they are trying to attract everyone, thinking volume will take care of the rest. Walk before you run.

Gentlemen..

I can only speak of my own experience..I have tried many outlets, and many have failed..Now, many outlets are closed because of new regulations that are being imposed in the states..

The best way to get new customers has and is always a recommendation..I guess through time and perceverance a book gains customer loyalty..Timely payouts, great customer service, and courteous clerks definitley help..

I think my company offers a wonderful perk when answering the trivia question correctly..Its a great tickler, but I cant blame customers for staying where they are most comfortable..

With all the propaganda that goes on in this industry, a players trust and comfort level with his choice of book is constantly tested..

There are some great and smart choices..
