I know this is my first post so will taken with a grain of salt. However, I've attached my chat transcript to document. I play horses 95% of the time. I have all the big ADW accounts, but decided I'd give Betonline a try since they are top rated here (yes, I never post but have been reading all the way back to the Majorwager wars) and offered a 7% rebate, and obviously the wagers would not be in pooled.
I deposited and played the first day and sure enough the next morning no issues and had my rebate. I then wanted to play Sunday night and looked on their track list and noticed Los Almotos Quarter-Horses was not on there. I sent the attached chat to their representative. The next day no rebate and I bet about 600 or 700 bucks that night at the track.
All day and with different reps I was told since Los Almotos "changed" to quarters there was no rebate. I pointed out three things, one the track is a quarter horse track 95% of the time and nothing "changed" as they have been running quarters on Sunday night for decades, and in fact TVG has a whole show "The Quarters" dedicated to it.
Second was the fact I was specifically told the wagers for Sunday night qualified for the 7%. Third was, why in the world would i bet offshore for no rebate when I could get at least some rebate (rewards) from one of the ADW that are legal, licensed, and located it the United States.
As you can see from my chat I was very clear and the representative was very clear. There is also no doubt I was referring to quarter-horse racing.
I chatted and emailed with 5 different people and they just repeated the same thing over and over that since it was quarter-horses, no rebate. I attached the chat transcript each time and it was totally ignored, except one rep said they were sorry I was misinformed. Well that's fine moving forward.
Anyway, I don't really care as I just got off the phone with AMEX and did a charge-back that will cost them well more than the amount they ripped me off (no I don't feel bad as I gave them every opportunity to do the right thing).
I don't think they set out to intentionally rip me off. However, the fact they would not honor their word, both verbally and in writing, and for an amount less than the charge-back, which I told them I was getting ready to initiate, is very troubling. I flat out said this is not even a close call if you should honor the rebate and if you don't I'm initiating a charge-back.
Just information others can do with what they please. I obviously am sticking to the licensed and regulated ADW. Not as good of a deal, but no headaches.
Thanks
