I will preface this by aknowledging that i am not a unique snowflake.... i'm sure this has happened to MANY of you....
Why do sportsbooks not have a rule on their books that states when a baseball (or really any)game goes over its total it is immediately action?? Currently most sportbooks refund all action if a game does not go 9 innings(or 8.5 in a home win) For instance if a baseball total is 8.5 and and 9 runs are scored in the 6th that game should be action. There will never be less the 8.5 runs scored. I understand if the total in the game was 4 or even 8 runs...you would have no idea if the game were stopped whether the total would be over or under 8.5. However when the over is met after 8 innings and you lose simply because the ump stops the game before the last three outs are recorded things tend to get broken, nice island customer service people tend to get yelled at, keyboards become airbone.
Futhermore if games were action immediately after they went over wouldn't this give the sportsbook more opportunities to make money. First of all they would collect the vig (for certain) on that game and clents would immediately have an opportunity to turn that money over on another game...how much would that mean on a football sunday.
Please explain this to me because it is the most illogical rule or at least omission that i've seen in a while.
ok done venting/rambling
