Yes at that PK. But I've never seen someone miss so many easy goals. Real Madrid could not win the CL with this guy as their rotational striker . Argentina will never win unless he doesn't make the squad. He is a mush. Messi knows. Higuain does well vs very very bad competition. That's like a mush winning on a -500 play tho

I think that may very well be the last time Higuain plays for the national team. I'd be very surprised if he's back.
Like you said, just too many instances of him missing easy shots in big moments in big games. He's public enemy number 1 right now in Argentina futbol. He'll be bood at home matches unmercifully by the fans every time he touches the ball (ala Juan Veron after the 2002 World Cup). Every slip-up he has will be magnafied by journalists and commentators. It will be a distraction as the coach will have to constantly address questions about him. And most importantly, it's just bad for the morale of a team that hasn't won a major tournament since 1993. The pressure is huge on the players to win and you better believe that in any latin american country they believe in jinxes (Mascherano himself was in tears after the game blaming himself for being the jinx of the team which obviously isn't true) and I'm sure many on the team probably view Higuain as a jinx although they'll never publically admit it.
Anyways, they have so many talented forwards.. they don't need him.
