Toronto vs Montreal on 10/12 by Jay_Robinson

Handicapper Analysis 0
There are a lot of Leafs' fans out there in the betting market, and with their team checking in as second favorites to win the Stanley Cup, it’s no surprise to see Toronto’s odds inflated in this matchup. FiveThirty gives them a 59% chance of beating their eternal rivals, which only works out to –144 on the moneyline.

Most of the value with the Canadiens will be with Jake Allen in net, which he should be for this season-opener. Thanks to injuries, Allen only played 35 games last year while Carey Price was away, but Allen was way better than Sam Montembeault, and just about everyone else Montreal threw between the pipes.
