It’s been a disappointing season for the Raptors as they find themselves outside of the playoff bubble looking in with a 23-20 record. Friday night will mark the Raptors’ 6th game of a 7-game road trip and they might be gassing after losing their last two games, including a 131-128 setback to the Jazz on Wednesday night.
And while the fans in Toronto can’t be happy, those who cheer for the Rockets must be downright despondent. Houston is abysmal for the third consecutive year and is currently mired in the muck of the Western Conference basement. But to be fair, Houston has not only covered but won their last two games outright with a 117-114 victory in Detroit followed by a 112-106 home win over the Thunder on Wednesday.
No one is making money off of either of these teams as the Raps are 26-27 against the number while the Rockets are a dismal 21-29-1 ATS mark. However, the public has become accustomed to auto-fading the Rockets which is why the line on Toronto is bloated. Let’s watch Houston keep this one close as they normally do against the Raptors, having covered in 3 of their last 4 meetings.
