This is what happens when you don't use common sense and implement a shot clock

#3 Anadarko held the ball most of the game against #9 ranked Weatherford as their game plan to beat them

So dumb!!!

I watched a high school tournament in game in Maine a while back where both teams did the same thing at the start of OT.
Thing went like 4 or 5 OT's cause each team chose to dribble the clock out before attempting a game winning shot.

If they played the game in regular fashion, Anadarko probably would have lost by 40-50 points and no one would have ever heard about it. Instead, they lost by only 2 with a chance to win at the end of the game and got some publicity to boot. They took advantage of the rules and almost won.

When I was in high school in the early 80's, my team and the opponent were both state ranked and we had a huge game at our home court. Our team was more of a methodical, take high percentage shots type, and our opponent was run and gun. There was no shot clock back then. Our coaches game plan was to do a four-corner stall and shorten the game. Basically, all we did was pass the ball from corner to corner. The score was 4-2 at halftime. My team ended up winning the game 26-24. It worked, but made for a boring game. Having a shot clock is a good thing for the game.
