Aloha Gang...Hows it hangin today on such a Beautiful Hawaiian afternoon...I hope all is well and everyone is ready for this Monday Night Matchup...Due to time constraints and just plain ole laziness, I will try to keep this short and sweet...LETS ROCK-N-ROLL BABY!
***TOP RATED PLAY ON:
Dallas +2
Washington Offense: Negatives outweighing positives at the moment.
1. struggling at the moment with new Key personal and new coaching philosophy.
-From Spurrier's Fun and Gun to Gibb's Run, Run, Run...seems to not be an easy transition as first thought for Redskin personal..They will definately need more time to jell and get used to this change.
2. Starting QB Brunell not 100% due to hamstring injury.
-Backup QB Ramsey very unreliable and seems to be having the most trouble adjusting to Gibbs Offensive philosophy...3 ints last week.
3. RB Portis...not very productive just yet as he is NOT running behind an OL unit that is near the quality of that of his old team the Broncos...and them Big Uglies Unit will also need more time to change from a pass blocking unit under Spurrier to now a run blocking unit under Gibbs.
-OL allowed the Giants last week to get 4 QB sacks.
-Two fumbles last week, after going 10 straight games without losing one.
4. WR's for the Skins are struggling as well with consistancy...they are making good catches, but also dropping them as well...Seems they will need more time learning their new secondary role this year under Gibbs conservative style of Offense.
Washington Defense: Negatives that will outweigh the Positives at the moment.
1. Major loss to Key players due to injuries.
-LB Barrows still out.(Big Loss)
-LB Arrington-13 tackles and 1 sack so far this year, is out with knee injury.(Major Loss)
-Skins now will have to utilize special teams players to fill void at the LB position.
2. Adding to the Skins defensive woes is the lost of pass rushing threat DE Daniels (Groin) to inj.
-This Skin DL is already thin and this lost will definately be felt.
3. Secondary...wont help much losing one of the Best in the Business in Champ Bailey.
Dallas Offense: Positives that are outweighing the Negatives at the moment.
1. Dallas Offense enters this one with the #1 ranked Total and Passing Offense led by the NFL's leading QB Testaverde.
-QB Testaverde's experience will be key tonight as the Skins will utilize their blitzing schemes to disrupt him.
-Testaverde- 355 yards vs the Vikings...and 322 yards vs the Browns.
2. The OL Unit has been pass protecting surperbly so far, as no one has really pressured or knocked Testaverde down..
-Only allowed 2 sacks so far on the year.
3. WR and TE unit for the Cowboys making a lot of plays helping out the struggling run game.
-WRs Johnson, Glenn, Bryant, and TE Witten are countering defensive schemes that have been attacking the line.
Dallas Defense: Positives.
1. Top rated unit from last season, seems to getting back into form as last week they were able to hold Garcia to just 8 of 27 passes and picked him off 3 times.
-CBs Newman and Hunter responsible for two of them.
*Coaches...
The Tuna gets my call as being the better of the two and he has a successful record of 10-6 vs Gibbs.
And eventhough Dallas is struggling to run the ball their run Offense does rank above 3-0 Philly and 3-0 Jacksonville in this category...
-Dallas is 9-1 ATS vs Wash...and won last year 27-0 on Dec 14 at Wash.
-Parcell is 10-6 vs Gibbs.
-Dallas has won 12 of the last 13 meetings.
*LETS GO GET BOYS!....GL AND ALOOOOHA CC.
