National NFL insiders are sticking with the Cowboys' party line of 6-8 weeks, but the Dallas Morning News and ESPN Dallas both have sources putting the timetable at closer to eight weeks. Romo's fracture is close to the shoulder joint, which means doctors can't surgically implant a plate to help the healing process. Our guess is that Romo won't play before Christmas night, and perhaps not at all the rest of the way.
