Providence laid down in the 2nd half after being up 22.From black to red with that one swing.
YTD 9-12 -8.4 Units

3*Stanford
This appears to be the biggest trap of the year.Stanford -3 against ?Rice?Despite the probable absence of Childress,I think Stanford has enough to get the job done.JustinDavis,Matt Haryasz, and Rob Little provide plenty of size up front.Little is probably the most improved player on the team after losing 25 pounds in the offseason. It's early in the year to lean on stats, but 2 things stand out:The return of Chris Hernandez stabilizes the point for Stanford. He has a 3/1 Ass./TO and is leading the team in scoring. On the other side,Rice is a little looser with the rock- Team Ass.t/o ratio is 1/1.5.I might as well mention 3 point shooting since it always seems to work against me.Rice is shooting 25% from behind the arc.Their primary gunner,Brock Gillespie is 3 of 18.Stanford is currently 42% from behind the arc.Rice's Michael Harris will challenge the Cardinal inside with his double double averages.Mamadou Diene will also create problems with his shot blocking ability.Stanford has never lost to Rice, but this will be their first visit to Houston.Rice will probably be on the bubble for a tourney bid so this their chance to grab a quality win.
