Examples Uncle B- I called him every name in the book when he tried to be tough guy with me

McIrish almost started with me this AM and I was ready to crucify him worse than how I went after BetCbs

Dante have no problems with you or General and do not know who else is a mod.

Thanks for starting this thread. I realize posting rules are necessary in a public forum, and I trust that the Rx will be fair in creating and enforcing them. However, in the spirit of fairness to all, I believe the posting population here has a right to know why a poster was banned and how long they are banned for. With regard to the banning of Dogball, requests for this information have gone unanswered to date. Would you please have someone answer these questions?

Regarding a Ban.

This site should be like a democracy and every person should have a right to a fair trial. Due process, impartial jury...yadiyadiyada.

Before banishing a poster the mods should select a jury of 9 of his peers to assure a fair and just trial.

Interesting. We do have a boardroom with members whom we will confront with many issues and seek their opinion.

It would be nice of just one single one of these boards actually was operated like a real business.

Just once I'd like to visit one of these sites and see a coherent mission statement. Creation of one, would then dictate what posts should stand and which shouldn't and even more importantly give all concerned a concrete outline of what purpose and the goals the site serves.

Just my opinion.

Free Speech?!?!? This is your site, you can do whatever you want.

When you have members making offensive posts in all caps they do not contribute to the well being of the site. Frankly, there are just some things (due to personal objections) I wouldn't stand for if I ran the site. The members here get plently of latitude and I think you do not ban enough. However, if you use your personal tolerance for offensive statements and you think you are doing a good job then so be it.

Try to recall the bannings, do you think that the site was better off without those posters?

I would at least like to see some posting in the Outhouse or otherwise when someone is banned. I have to read from other sites when posters are banned (sometimes weeks afterwards).

When you finally ban Dante, I likely won't hear about it for a month.

What you really need is an "ignore" function on this site, as is common on some of the other forums I frequent. If a poster bothers you, just put him on ignore and you don't even see his posts. It really speeds up the way you use a site and the amount of garbage (by your own definition) that you have to wade through.

I do not have a problem with banning.. as I'm sure I deserved to be put on "time-out" for my personal attacks on Lander.

The problem I have, is everyone is not held to the same standards.. certain mods pick and choose who they wish to enforce rules with, and that is the unfair part.

If everyone was held to the same standards, I think everyone would be content..

and I dare any of the mods or Shrink to say this does not go on.. it goes on every single day here.

Just my opinion though

I do not believe that goes on. I KNOW it does not go on with me. Maybe some posters get on some mods nerves easily that could look like its favortism but we discuss all bannings and get a majority vote before doing it. When there is a banning its a majority of the AB and Mods voting to do it, and believe me its not an easy thing to get a majority on it has to be really bad
