Hockey season starts Friday for us! I realize that moneyline sports like MLB and the NHL can be tough to consistently produce winners, but there is certainly a way to be ahead of the game at the end of the season. A few things to consider:
​

First, did you know that favorites won almost two-thirds of the games played in the NHL last year? The good thing is that home teams won about 55% of the time, so there are plenty of opportunities to cash on road teams.​


Second, there were A LOT of games where teams were -300, -400 or even -500 favorites! We all know chasing type of game will result in long term losing, SO DON'T EXPECT THOSE KIND OF SELECTIONS FROM US!!!​


As the season goes on, you will see a separation between the really good teams and the bad ones. There will be days that are unplayable in regards to a side, so I will sometimes play 1st and 2nd period totals. A lot of books offer plus money payouts (especially in the 2nd period) and it's a great way to make some money.

Plays will be sent later in the day as the starting goalies are confirmed. It is difficult to learn all the coaches and how they use their goaltenders, ESPECIALLY IN BACK TO BACK SITUATIONS, so it is a lot easier to wait until the starters are announced.
