If it ain´t broke don´t fix it! I love this country because its so ass backwards and everything takes forever. Its perfect just the way it is. At first I was all for the TLC and then I remembered the true reason I came to this country in the first place. Costa Rica is doing just fine on its own and I hope it stays like it is.......

That was a rough night VD..... I am still trying to get back to normal after that one. :thumbsup:

The most beautiful thing about this country is its simplicity and I just feel they might be selling out to the BIG MAN. I have not investigated the TLC agreement enough yet because the vote is still a few months away and the Sala IV is still going through it to see if it breaks any Constitutional rules etc. I will start to go through it as we get close to the vote and have my wife vote accordingly, but I love this country just the way it is.

I am a simple man with a simple life and as long as I got my family, cheap beer and the beach close by I am happy. I heard a great saying in a movie the other day.... THERE ARE NO LONGER COUNTRIES OR GOVERNMENTS ONLY CORPORATIONS......

According to the Tico Times today, the average salary for a police recruit out of the academy is 300 a month, which helps explain why there are 30,000 security guards and only 10,000 police officers....how safe do you feel??? Crime has risen and there are more gangs, drugs, and sex related crimes than ever before and the police here have not gotten any assistance from the government.....hopefully none of us will need assistance in the near future.

I agree with you on crime in this country. I have two guard gates to get into my house. Unfortunately the government has a lot of problems with money management and corruption. I was at a certain watering hole in the red zone downtown thats infested with drugs, working girls, etc. and the cops just walked in and had a beer and then walk out after getting paid. RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES!!!! Its what makes this country so beautiful because its like the WILD WILD WEST down here. I love it here!!!!!!!!!!!!!
