LOL...when I was stationed at Lejeune I remember having to hop a puddle jumper to either Raleigh-Durham or Charlotte most of the time when going on leave. You're packed into one of those turbo-props and you feel like you are on a ride at 6 Flags or something. Good luck and have fun in Vegas. I can't make it this year but may go to Vegas in Oct.

Yes, amazing...no other reason for an airport in Jacksonville, NC except for Lejeune being there. Maybe you'll get lucky and a larger plane that lands will refuel and head to the larger airports. I got lucky a few times but going through a storm in one of those small turbo props is a nightmare. Bring a barf bag. Hey, I knew some boot Marines who actually got on a plane to Jacksonville, FL from R-D by mistake one time. LMFAO!!!
