Maybe you just stick to the topic being discussed. Tiger was NOT irrelevant for at least 5 years. That's a fact. And he was the best player on tour in 2013. That's a fact. If you retread my post to you, I said you were correct about his flaws. But he was still the best that year. Fact!

What topic ? Just stating that irrelevant for 5 years was wrong..should have been irrelevant for 6 out of 7 years..stop being so sensitive

They will make as much money this week and every other week whether he plays or not. They want him back playing competively again because they want to beat Tiger at his best.

you really think they care about a 40 yr old? his best? ...those days are long gone. sorry

Yes and no. Sure it isn't going to effect what they play for next week but it does effect the future.

Tiger playing = more viewership + bigger crowds = more revenue = bigger paydays. Tiger, especially when in contention, is good for the bottom line. Tiger is the reason these guys play for the money they do today.
My point is the money is not going to grow that much more now just because of Tiger. He has done his part there the last 15-20 years in growing that. I don't know if he will ever get to the point where he will be competitive again but I'm pretty sure most of the top players would like to see him be competitive again. Why do you think these players are so good now? You only get better when the competition is at its best. Nicklaus won his last major at 46. Tiger is 40, far from over the hill. Just Tiger playing won't do all those things you say above. But Tiger playing competitively will.
