Here is who I'm playing tonight:
5 Units Georgia Tech +2.5 -103
Good matchup featuring Maryland’s strong all-around play against Georgia Tech’s defense and talented freshman QB Reggie Ball. Maryland (5-2 SU, 2-4 ATS) has outstanding balance on offense, with 170 yards rushing and 209 passing per game. They’re outscoring teams by a 30-14 average. QB Scott McBrien is not dazzling, but efficient with 1,263 yards passing, 6 TDs, 4 INTs. Coach Ralph Friedgen is a strong motivator and offensive strategist and notice that Maryland has won five in a row after opening the season with losses to Northern Illinois and Florida State. Georgia Tech (4-3 SU, ATS) has won three straight, led by QB Reggie Ball (1,276 yards passing, 6 TDs, 5 INTs). Georgia Tech is scoring and allowing 17 points per game, as the offense gets 126 rushing yards, 184 passing pg. Last October 17, these teams played a game featuring a lot of offense, though not a lot of scoring. Maryland had 222 yards rushing and 210 passing, while G-Tech had 180 rushing yards and 308 passing, mostly from QB A.J. Suggs. Yet, Maryland led 6-3 at the half on the way to a big second half and a 34-10 victory. G-Tech has the better defense, a nice young QB and the home field.
