Thanks for your post ct. He is doing a great job that few can match. 57% short term or 55% long term is very good. But to make the number more accurate you need to apply juice to those winnings. To make things simple let's just assume all of his regular bets are the same (let's say $100) and using -108 as the average juice which is normal at my book and many others. That 57% short term number is dropped to around 55% and if any points are bought that number is further reduced. Again, 55% is great and I doubt many hit that revised number.A couple things...your math is wrong, if that was his record it would be 60% (not 67%). His actual record for 2024 is 117-90, which is about 57%. Longer term, his overall plays are around 55%. 55% is very good, very few (if any) posters here hit that number long term. Great job PA
Why does it even matter to you? If he bets $1000 (for talking purposes) on a top play. Are you going to bet $1000 on his top plays? You make his top plays a set amount that fits your play style (that’s whatever fits your budget if it’s only 150 then that’s what it is). When he has a regular play (let’s say for talking purposes) he bets $250 on a regular play. If you bet $150 on his top plays then maybe bet $75 on his regular plays. It makes no difference how much he bets on any given play. Even if it’s $20. He picks winners that’s what matters the most. Follow or don’t follow. I bet he doesn’t care if you follow his plays or not.
Good luck to everyone.
Both of the two comments above are obtuse. Juice does matter.Maddog: Why would it be very important to know the amount of PA's wagers? It is completely irrelevant .
You don't post your picks, your line, your units, your $amount. So I don't know what team to wager, how much to wager on the team that I don't know to wager on. Yet I somehow manage to persevere. PA provides his selections, and includes which he has a preference for.; that is all u need to know.
Everyone, please understand I am still saying Pirate is doing well. He is providing a great service. I was asking for information so his true winnings could be determined. Just stating your W-L record without including juice or bought points can be misleading. It doesn't mean I am saying he is bad handicapper - I have always said just the opposite and mentioned that his posts are valued.
If you don't understand my comments or questions to Pirate, then you are missing my points and that is something no one can help you with.
