thread bumping

i will admit that it's mildly interesting to see 15+ year old threads bumped and re commented on briefly on here for some reason

it seems to be happening more and more frequently (I think there's six bumped 2003 threads on the main SB page alone currently) and Im just wondering if this is happening because the user base of this site has dwindled to the point that ancient postings need to be re cycled because new stuff that's worth reading just isnt being created anymore

also wtf happened to superbeets and the hello thread in the RR?
