Thoughts on Kelly Pavlik vs. Bernard Hopkins

We will see. btw...I have watched a lot of boxing myself and I realize Hopkins is washed up...

Also, I am a trained neighborhood fighter and control all comers around these parts.

Most likely a Pavlik decision. Mind you, if Pavlik doesn't carry his power well at 170, Hops might realize that he can't be hurt and let his hands go. Hops KOing Pavlik isn't likely, but it's far from impossible.

Pavlik doesn't know what to do and he has no power at 170. He's fighting like a guy who wants to go for the KO, but it's obvious that it's not gonna happen.

Looks like Pavlik will get stopped.

i took hop at the last minute... i've had a feeling about him all week... i dont think pav fights well at 170, a little slower, keeping him right at what hop fights pace wise now... im glad to see him close to handing pav his first loss

Hopkins is done guys. This Pavlik kid is much the better fighter. Not even close. The ? is whether or not he gets knocked out or it goes distance.

I am betting Pavlik by KO +250 and the under 11.5 +185

No he is not done. And Pavlik is not much the better fighter. If Hopkins can use his ring craft well he has a very good chance. It all depends what Hopkins shows up

Like i said. The executioner was the one who shown up. The one with an amazing boxing IQ, the smartest boxer ever. The man who makes the ring seem so big when your trying to hit him, yet so small when he wants to get to you.

Nope, not high at all. Just someone who knows Boxing very well. Not only boxing but the careers of both Hopkins and Pavlik.

And Hopkins does have a chance and you wasted your $$$ betting on Hopkins being KO'D

Good call Boston. I kept my eyes closed on this one and should have analyzed a bit better. Very disappointed in Pavlik. Was dominated. Experience showed here.

I let personal feelings get in the way of this pick a little bit.

Skipped this fight but best bet probably was that this goes to distance , Bhop cant be KOed with his defense unless he totally gasses out which some day might happen with his age and he wouldn't KO Pavlik either . Thought Pavlik would win on points but nasty how Bhop still has what it takes with 43 .
