Goodell is a PR nightmare. The longer he sticks around the longer the controversy hangs around. Doesn't much matter if Goodell is telling the truth or not. The fact his credibility is being questioned is a PR problem for the NFL. Usually in situations like these someone ends up resigning because the media won't be putting this on the shelf anytime soon and they'll be digging up more crap. It's really quite simple, Goodell resigns and you get yourself a new sheriff. Perhaps a woman commissioner.
