I agree with some of that , but i dont think 20+ page threads are always good either. We get back to the quality vs quantity argument. If you have a 20 page thread with 300 people posting than thats good , but if its those same 4 arguers arguing back and forth with 30 posts each its dreadful.

The best threads are the ones that get replys from 50-60 different people , without enfuego and acebb arguing.

I also think some of the "old posters" don't give quality new posters a chance. They treat it like an invite only old boys club with no new members welcome. A new poster gets treated like dog shit and just says fuck it.

Yet another reason i believe posters should look inward at who to blame for lack of activity.

Thats true to a certain extent , but its a lot better now than it used to be in that regard. When i first joined it was right after a bash and all the "power" posters in the offshore had met each other. ... I often felt like i was inviting myself to a party where i wasn't welcomed. ... There's still somewhat of a clique mentality but it's a lot better now new posters shouldn't have a problem.

Posters may want to look at themselves instead of pointing fingers.

For the most part the threads started in the Offshore are horrifically bad and uninteresting. I stop by the offshore daily and there usually just isn't anything worth commenting on. If posters want some more activity they should post on more interesting topics.

Not trying to toot my own horn but I started a Brady thread recently thats 20+ pages. My point is, the activity can be there if we start the right threads.
