I never know of the drama that goes on here. For instance, the mods of 3 or 4 years ago or longer are different than the mods now. Why? I cant imagine it is a position in which you get demoted. Unless for contest purposes, nothing really needs moderated. You don't like what I say or vice versa, 2 options...refute it or ignore it.

TheRX is like the Patriots organization... there's just stuff we'll never be allowed to know that goes on behind the scenes. Gotta get Defying or Hache to turn over their phones. Would open you up to a whole new world. My favorite RX conspiracy theory is all the Mods are just one guy playing all the roles.

There are some cool dudes in the sub-forums that never post on the main board but a lot of it just seems to be people wanting to throw some mud and try to get hot so they can possibly tout.

as a local bookie once told me... there's two seasons in our business, football season and waiting for football season...

Action is down significantly at local shops.. its the business we are in..

Are there things theRX could improve, absolutely. a long list probably.. but the slowness of May-August has nothing to do with the forum dying and more to do with the seasonality of the industry.

I wish there was some kind of grading system of who is best to tail in a certain sport. I go to baseball forum or any forum for that matter, I never know who is good and who sucks besides NFL trends in NFL.

This isn't just a sports betting forum though. It is more of a sports forum and interest in sports is higher than ever. There is still seasonality to that but I don't really think "Oh football isn't going on" quite explains the dropoff.

Between all the advances in technology and analysis of the game, there is more discussion to be had about sports/sports betting than ever.

I think a better explanation would perhaps be that there are way more forums competing for a slice of the pie now, in addition to social media, etc

Ok yeah I can agree with that. You are basically saying the niche of sports betting is much more narrow than random fans just dropping in so while interest in sports may be at an all time high, it isn't like a sports betting forum is really positioned to capture that. People are going to come to this site for betting related topics first and foremost.

Also yeah no clue if it was dying, I just figured if Chop said it was then it must be true. I would follow him into battle anyday.

I wasn't voted off but I was denied. This happens with alot of forums. They basically get cocky thinking they can pick and choose. I told you before of anabolex.com...Was once a huge site. Got cocky, banned a shitload and now they are begging for traffic. That is the internet. Very few sites are relevant for a decade.
