The days of U2, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and it was amazing to me .... to see what would have once become some alt form of music, became main stream. It wasn't supposed to happen.
And in the 80's .... when I had my mohawk .... I KNEW I was too late for what was REALLY Punk Rock. Sid Vicious died when I was 9 years old. But that movement was still there, and I wanted to be a part of it .... without the dying part. Lotta people I know died .... mostly drugs.
And every once in a while .... I see a kid walking down the street, with a big hawk and a plaid buttflap, wearing Doc Martens and ripped jeans .... and I want to just grab them by the shoulders and shake them, and yell, "THINK UP SOMETHING NEW!"
It seems though .... since like the mid 90's ... music has been stagnant and bad ... and somebody needs to come along and start a new movement.
