This is incorrect. President Johnson (Andrew, not Lyndon) was impeached in 1868. Like Clinton, he was acquitted by the Senate.
Interestingly enough, also like Clinton, President Johnson was largely the victim of Republican character assassination. While I do not feel that Clinton was what I would call a "stand up guy" in any respect at all, the obscene machinations of the Starr investigation (which cost American taxpayers millions of dollars and produced virtually zero aside from a few dead bodies and a great deal of dirty laundry) dwarf his relatively minor indiscretions. He fvcked around on his wife, got caught, and lied about it, like the vast majority of all men everywhere in the world all throughout history have done, and are likely to continue to do til the day we are all gone.
